The cooking class was quite fun. The chef was very friendly and showed us the steps on how to prepare Lagman. Due to the language barrier, no history and cultural background was shared and it was not always easy to follow her instructions, but she tried her best. You will cook in a kitchen just next to the Apple Hostel, which belongs to a canteen where you will also enjoy your meal after preparation. Overall we had a good time and enjoyed cooking Lagman, which is the most important thing, but in our opinion it is quite overpriced for what you get in return.

Fun! Worth it. But also a bit disorganized. When we arrived, the woman in charge was going around frantically confused that so many people signed up. The cook in the kitchen would really rather not do “class” and would rather just cook herself. Hahaha. But all 3 of my kids got hands on cooking and got to see what it was like in a real kitchen. They made noodles from scratch, which they loved. And they were given hats as presents after they ate the Lagman they made. So it was great in the end. Would recommend.

We made layman together which was interesting. I had never been to a cooking class before so assumed they would make and we would watch. It was nice to actually do it ourselves

The class is well priced and was absolutely delicious! It’s a hands on cooking class with mama chef guiding you proper techniques on how to make this dish! The excellent things for us was having an English translator and stepping us through everything. I’d highly recommend doing the class, Im really looking forward to sharing and recreating this dish when I’m home! Now we can take a taste of Kyrgyzstan with us and have wonderful memories when eating it!

We had a really great time cooking the Lagman with the chef and where joint by a lovely woman that translated for us as well. The dough was already made, but we made the lagman and the rest of the dish. After cooking we of course ate the dish and it tasted amazing if we say so ourselves :)
