Discover Český Krumlov the relaxed way — without the rushing typical of most day tours.
Travel in a small group and enjoy a full-day journey combining one of Europe’s most beautiful medieval towns with an authentic Bohemian village.
After hotel pickup in Prague, we head to Český Krumlov. With your guide, you’ll explore both iconic highlights and quieter corners most visitors never find. The stroll usually includes visits to local artisans such as a jeweller, blacksmith, or leather craftsman. On warm days, we may taste local craft beer too.
We make a special stop in Holašovice, a tiny UNESCO-listed village, where we talk about Czech village life, traditions, and folklore. On most visits, we are welcomed by a local resident whose family has lived here for over 500 years, sharing everyday objects and personal stories of rural life.
We return to Prague in the early evening.

Cesky Krumlov Castle
We begin at the top — literally. After arriving early (before the big crowds), we’ll park above the town and start a guided walk through the castle complex (exteriors), taking in sweeping views over the rooftops and the Vltava River bens as we descend gently along a cobbled path. From there, we’ll explore what were once three separate historic towns — Latrán, the Old Town, and the Jewish Quarter. Each has its own unique vibe, and we take the time to enjoy it all. This isn’t a checklist march — we move at a relaxed, easy-going pace, stopping for photos, stories, and local insights. Along the way, we’ll discover hidden gems most tours skip — from tucked-away viewpoints to charming artisan shops and quiet corners that feel miles away from the main square. Physical demand: Easy (well-maintained paths, walking down) 2-2.5 hours ● Guided walk
Cesky Krumlov
After the guided walk, you’ll have plenty of free time to enjoy Český Krumlov at your own pace. Whether you feel like sipping coffee by the river, wandering through hidden lanes, browsing local craft shops, taking photos, or simply soaking in the atmosphere, the time is yours. Your guide will happily recommend museums, viewpoints, cafés, scenic walks, or quiet spots based on your interests — without a fixed program or rushing from place to place. You’re free to explore what draws you most in the moment. Please note that access to castle interiors varies by season. The Castle Tower is open year-round (except Mondays), while other interiors are available only on guided tours. If you’re interested, your guide will be happy to advise on the best available options on the day. When it’s time to continue, we’ll meet at a convenient, pre-agreed spot near the center, so you won’t need to walk uphill again. Just relax — we’ll come pick you up by car. Czech Out Tours is so awesome!!We did 3 days of tours with them on our visit to Prague and they were all REALLY great! We went to Cesky Krumlov with Jana. She is an historian and very knowledgeable. The town was amazing. Very picturesque. Jana’s tour was interesting and informative. We also had the chance to visit a UNESCO site, Holasovic. This is a small country village which maintains its traditional way of life with. We visited the home of a local farmer whom lives the traditional village life where the community has self subsisted for generations.

Ondrej was a great tour guide! He was very communicative, and the tour was fun and well organized. We were picked up from our individual hotels in the morning and the ride to and from the sites was very comfortable. Holasovice was quaint and historic, and Cesky Krumlov is worth a visit. We learned about the history of these places and about modern Czech culture from our guide. He was accommodating to people of all mobility levels and interests. I would absolutely book with Czech Out Tours again!

Excellent tour I highly recommend. Jana is an outstanding guide - knowledgeable, fun, kind and considerate. Because it is a small group she was flexible, accommodating the group’s presences. I would have preferred skipping the farm stop and spending more time in Cesney Krumlov

We often take small group tours from an anchor city. This was an excellent choice. We were picked up at our hotel on time and the communication prior to and during the trip was excellent. All of the activities were enjoyed, with excellent pacing of the day. I appreciated the lunch option and we were given the choice of two restaurants in Krumlov. The lunch was delicious. Visiting the two UNESCO sites was a nice compliment to our Prague experience.

We had an amazing experience with our tour guide, Ondrej! We truly enjoyed learning about the history, culture, and significance of the UNESCO site throughout the tour. Ondrej was incredibly friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and accommodating from start to finish. What really stood out was his flexibility and attentiveness to our needs — he gave us extra time at places we wanted to explore more, shared excellent restaurant recommendations, and ensured smooth, on-time pickup and drop-off. He made the entire experience feel personalized and stress-free. We highly recommend booking this tour with Ondrej if you want an informative, enjoyable, and memorable experience. Thank you again for such a wonderful day!

Ondrej was absolutely amazing as was our tour. He was the best to work with. Ondrej made sure he knew and accommodated all of our dreams and needs for our tour. For the tour itself Jana was our guide. She had such an extensive knowledge of both the history as well as current situations. Top notch like Ondrej. We even met up with Ondrej along the way. The tour was terrific. Our only regret was that due to our schedule we weren’t able to go on more tours with Ondrej. If back in Prague Czech out tours will be out first go-to - and we’ll certainly share with others!
