Discover Český Krumlov the relaxed way — without the rushing typical of most day tours.
Travel in a small group and enjoy a full-day journey combining one of Europe’s most beautiful medieval towns with an authentic Bohemian village.
After hotel pickup in Prague, we head to Český Krumlov. With your guide, you’ll explore both iconic highlights and quieter corners most visitors never find. The stroll usually includes visits to local artisans such as a jeweller, blacksmith, or leather craftsman. On warm days, we may taste local craft beer too.
We make a special stop in Holašovice, a tiny UNESCO-listed village, where we talk about Czech village life, traditions, and folklore. On most visits, we are welcomed by a local resident whose family has lived here for over 500 years, sharing everyday objects and personal stories of rural life.
We return to Prague in the early evening.

Cesky Krumlov Castle
We begin at the top — literally. After arriving early (before the big crowds), we’ll park above the town and start a guided walk through the castle complex (exteriors), taking in sweeping views over the rooftops and the Vltava River bens as we descend gently along a cobbled path. From there, we’ll explore what were once three separate historic towns — Latrán, the Old Town, and the Jewish Quarter. Each has its own unique vibe, and we take the time to enjoy it all. This isn’t a checklist march — we move at a relaxed, easy-going pace, stopping for photos, stories, and local insights. Along the way, we’ll discover hidden gems most tours skip — from tucked-away viewpoints to charming artisan shops and quiet corners that feel miles away from the main square. Physical demand: Easy (well-maintained paths, walking down) 2-2.5 hours ● Guided walk
Cesky Krumlov
After the guided walk, you’ll have plenty of free time to enjoy Český Krumlov at your own pace. Whether you feel like sipping coffee by the river, wandering through hidden lanes, browsing local craft shops, taking photos, or simply soaking in the atmosphere, the time is yours. Your guide will happily recommend museums, viewpoints, cafés, scenic walks, or quiet spots based on your interests — without a fixed program or rushing from place to place. You’re free to explore what draws you most in the moment. Please note that access to castle interiors varies by season. The Castle Tower is open year-round (except Mondays), while other interiors are available only on guided tours. If you’re interested, your guide will be happy to advise on the best available options on the day. When it’s time to continue, we’ll meet at a convenient, pre-agreed spot near the center, so you won’t need to walk uphill again. Just relax — we’ll come pick you up by car. We enjoyed a wonderful day exploring Holasovice and Cesky Krumlov with Jana as our guide. Jana was very knowledgeable about the history of both towns and all Czech history. We enjoyed a good lunch at the recommended restaurant. Everything was perfect from pickup to drop-off. Highly recommend!

This was a great day. First, because the environs of Prague are so green and lovely, and the village/castle so stunning, with the serpentine Vltava/Moldau running through it. We also enjoyed the UNESCO village, with the tour by the oldest inhabitant, the horses and the ceramics. Second, because Ondrej – our host/driver is not only clever and well-informed but funny, and also directed us to little- known viewpoints for amazing photos. Third, the seven of us on the tour shared a wonderful, home-cooked lunch – a gem of a restaurant Ondrej had booked for us, off the beaten tourist track. And then, unusually, we were neither rushed nor bored – Ondrej gave us just the right amount of time to wander/shop on our own. (He’s also intuitive – knows when to stop informing, in other words – an ace driver and wonderfully organised.) Finally – when we got talking, on the road back to Prague city proper, my musicologist husband and I (a pro cellist and novelist) persuaded him to karaoke some tenor arias for us, accompanied by tape. The boy can really sing !!!! A natural. Can’t recommend this tour too highly, not to be missed.

CK town is like the heart-loved fairy-tale town, Ondrej is very professional and passionate, like a good friend in the Czech Republic, time management and restaurant recommendations are excellent, next time I will definitely visit 👍

I've been studying abroad in the Czech Republic for nearly 4 years now, and been on a lot of tours before, including to Ćeský Krumlov - and this is by far one of the best I've had. Ondrej really went above and beyond for our group. Not only was he very funny, kind, and informative, but also a good driver and showed us some cool hidden gems off the main path. We were given free refreshments on the drive, and provided some disability aids for my older family members who were struggling a little with the hilly terrain. Trip itself was the perfect length - does not feel rushed like other tours. Lunch and coffee was also great. Ordrej even gave us a long list of local shops and recommendations, so you can be sure to find something cool in your free time. If you were planning to go to Český Krumlov, this is definitely who you want to go with.

Excellent informative tour with free time for exploring and shopping. Ondrej took us to unique locations and offered to take our pictures at several view points. He avoided crowds of people by guiding us through alternative routes. During the two hour journey from Prague he provided water and snacks. He contacted us prior to pick up so we knew when and where to meet.

Ondrej was an excellent guide. Good driver. On time. Knowledgeable. Made the whole experience fun. Made sure we had time to look around and showed us the nicest spots for pictures. I have a bad knee and he ran to the car and brought me a walking cane. Included historic information and answered all our questions. I would definately tour with czech out yours again

This is a thoughtfully planned tour. The chosen restaurant was a highlight. It is a local chef with a menu that can vary to use fresh seasonal ingredients. We actually booked tour without the lunch but ended up eating there because Ondrej is in contact with the chef earlier in the day and could ensure the food selection fit the diet restrictions. It was amazing! Take the lunch option! It is just far enough off the man square that we would have missed it on our own. The stop at the small farming village gives extra dimension to life in Czechia that you miss the cities. It also allows for a drive through the beautiful countryside off of the highway and a visit to a local ceramic shop. It's actually pretty hard to find locally made, reasonably priced mugs in Prague so I loved this. Cesky Krulmlov itself is a stunning fairytale town viewed from the castle and same for the castle as viewed from down in the town. We were there before castle interiors opened for the season which was disappointing but also when you're trying to time your visit to miss crazy crowds this is just what happens
