If you want to experience a different kayaking experience, we invite you to discover the Rio de las Vueltas. This activity offers you the opportunity to connect with nature from the water, away from the busiest trails. Explore the views of Mount Fitz Roy, the Rio de las Vueltas valley and the Andean forest from a unique perspective.
Once equipped with the technical equipment (wetsuit, boots, vest, helmet and paddle), a vehicle will take us 21 km along the RP 41 to the viewpoint of Laguna Condor. After a safety talk given by the guides, we will begin the descent along the Rio de las Vueltas. During the tour, we will observe the native fauna as we contemplate the scenic beauty of Mount Fitz Roy and its surrounding peaks, and enjoy a country brunch surrounded by nature.

Once equipped, they will travel by van about 21 km along RP 41, heading towards Desert Lake. Navigation begins at the Mirador de Laguna Condor. Upon arrival the boaters finish equipping themselves with jacket, life jacket and helmet, and then a technical and safety talk is given. The section of the river that is navigated is characterized by being shallow and with many meanders. The Patagonian Andean forest is crossed and the Fitz Roy outlines its north face on the horizon. 12 km from Laguna Condor to the viewpoint of the Fitz Roy. The sailing takes 1 : 30 h approximately, depending on the river flow and wind conditions. Halfway through the tour, we will stop for a delicious country brunch and then continue to the point of disembarkation, Mirador del Fitz Roy (10 km from Chaltén). Once there, the transfer will take us back to El Chaltén. End of activity 14 hs.

Awesome experience, felt well looked after, Great people who made sure we were well equipped and ran thru the procedures and explained things really well. The guides took care to point out landmarks and explain about the area. Brunch was welcome surprise and they were able to cater for sin tacc/gluten free.

Beautiful day kayaking with stunning views of Fitz Roy. You start out on a lake and then kayak in the river with a nice flow so not much paddling needed. Great lunch prepared by our guide.

Germán, Mateo, Valentin and Mauro were very friendly and made us feel comfortable with the experience of kayaking in Patagonia. I recommend lunch at Estancia Bonanza! You can't miss it.

An incredible experience is the kayar with Comarka Expeditions. Lolito an absolute genius who had everything prepared to enjoy a unique evening. Patiently he explained and gave us the different tips and so that our only concern is full enjoyment. Fun activity worth doing between trekking and trekking. Super recommended. No less detail, you forget the photos, Lolito takes a thousand photos and films you and then shares everything.

You can see landscapes that are not accessible otherwise and surrounded by pure nature. I find it excellent for doing something other than trekking and also for escaping the crowd of main trails.

After meeting at the 'Dome' a little late, our party was cared for with the utmost attention to detail. We were sized with proper equipment, offered coffee/tea, directed on where to keep our clothes dry. Drove to the river, further instruction on basic kayak maneuvers. Our guides 'Lolito' and Tomas were with us on the water throughout the route. Even though it was lightly snowing, we had a fantastic experience on the water! At 'Bonanza' ranch, more coffee & pastries were had as we warmed by the fire, then drove to the restaurant for lunch. The rustic charm of the restaurant and authentic Asador preparing our meal, made it a totally worthwhile experience on it's own. Complimentary glass of wine, the detail and great taste of the food, made this lunch a truly 'fine dining' event!! Lastly, we were driven back to our start point, on time. By nights end, the river photos taken by our guides were sent to me as well. Sincere thanks to each of the team that catered & coddled us throughout. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Roberto, Melissa and Izabel
