Trou aux Cerfs
Trou aux Cerfs is a dormant volcano with a well-defined cone and crater. It is 605 m high and located in Curepipe, Mauritius. The crater has been alternately described as 300 and 350 meters in diameter, and is 80 meters deep.
Grand Bassin
Ganga Talao is a crater lake situated in a secluded mountain area in the district of Savanne, deep in the heart of Mauritius. It is considered the most sacred Hindu Temple in Mauritius.

1.00I booked a day trip through Viator to Mauritius. I paid and received confirmation from Viator that everything was in order. The night before the trip, I received an email from Viator informing me that the tour operator, Taxi Mauritius - Tours & Transfer, had cancelled my booking. I had to find another provider for this trip at 10pm while I was on the boat sailing to Port Louis. This is not a company to trust!

5.00My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this excursion. Our driver and guide was called Sameer. He was excellent, informative and helpful. Unfortunately, his boss was less helpful. Our trip was on a Sunday. It turned out that the Rhumerie is closed on a Sunday. This did not bother us, but it may well concern others. Although we booked the experience on 24th September, it was not until after 10 pm on the night before the trip which was on 14th December that Sameer's boss informed us that the Rhumerie was closed.

4.00Whilst we enjoyed our day with our young very car proud driver we were actually disappointed with the two main attractions especially the 7 colours - Nothing like we had expected - But this was obviously no fault of the Driver / Guide who gave us a very entertaining tour, everything else was good = My only other comment was there were due to be 4 of us ( 2 Couples) But the other couple didn't feel 100% so decided not to join us which in hindsight was probably good for us as it would have been a very tight fit in the car - I would have said 3 max in that vehicle

5.00Meeting with Kevin at the port @7:30am. for a private tour to south west. I have visited several waterfalls, gorges and as a highlight the spectacular Chamarel seven colored earth. i enjoyed the save ride and the explanations from Kevin. Would do this tour again.

This tour takes you all round the island seeing all the sights in a private car just for you. It was one of the best days we had on our holiday

5.00Our Organiser Neelesh and driver Sameer listened to our specific request of skipping the Rhumerie, which helped make our busy day not feel too rushed. We were picked up from our hotel at 0830 and had photo stops at Trou aux Cerfs and Grand Bassin. We went to Viewpoints at Black River Gorges and Charmarel before a nice lunch in a family restaurant. We were given the option of visiting the Carmarel 7 coloured Earth Geopark, but chose the Valle Adventure Park, which had the 23 coloured earth, lovely waterfalls and Giant Tortoises to walk around. Our driver then suggested stopping at Le Morne Beach rather than the more busy Flic en Flac, which was nice and we had a quick dip. We returned to our hotel by 1800, after a full day.

5.00We had a great day touring the island with our driver Kevin. We saw so much in just one day and such a wide variety of sights and attractions. The highlight was definitely the rum distillery which should not be missed. Kevin’s local knowledge of the island and its people gave us such a great understanding of Mauritius. Kevin’s local knowledge also got us to sites always one step ahead of the crowds and made each place we went so much easier to enjoy.

5.00It is a memorable day. The driver Kevin called me the night before and discussed options when to start the tour. He is worried about the traffic jam if we began the tour at 8:30AM as originally planned. He is right. We don’t have to deal with traffic congestion. He is resourceful and knowledgeable. He has great insights of history, culture, and religions of his country. We did all the sights as listed in the program. He would introduce them beforehand. Therefore, o have a better appreciation of what I am visiting. I would recommend the tour without hesitation.
