Comfortably installed in our van, your guide will take you to the heart of the Marne Valley vineyards. Nestled in the middle of the hillsides, it will take you on a tour of a family estate which will be followed by tasting of 3 different champagne. You will be in total immersion in the vineyard where all your senses will be awakened.

What To Expect
Office de Tourisme Epernay en Champagne
Pick up in front of the entrance of Epernay Tourist Office. Then, heading towards Hautvillers via another village : Champillon.
Hautvillers
Hautvillers was the home of the famous Dom Perignon, a Benedictine monk whose work in wine-making helped to develop champagne. The village of Hautvillers is registered on the UNESCO World Heritage List Photo stop at the viewpoints overlooking the Marne River and Epernay.

5.00EN extremely service minded guide with a lot of knowledge who gladly went the extra mile as we were only two couples dropped us off outside our accommodation and with our approval overran to give us the best possible experience. A very informative walkthrough of the grape process and tour of the plant.

5.00During our 6 day stay in Reims and Epernay this was the best of the 9 tasting tours that we undertook. Apart from the convenience of being picked up at the centrally located tourist centre and returned to our accommodation with our champagne purchases, G was the most informative guide and most easily understood that we have had. Having worked in some of the major champagne companies over a 20+ year period he was exceptionally knowledgeable on all aspects of of the industry Our trip included a visit to the vineyards, a wine processing facility, a visit to Hautvillers township including a visit to the abbey where Dom Pérignon and his compatriot Dom Ruinart are buried in the church and a tasting session which included 4 different champagnes Value for money wise this tour for the 4 of us - the luxury vehicle could seat 6 - was by far the best value for money trip that is available for these type of tours. This tour has been undoubtedly the highlight of our champagne tasting experience and very highly recommended.

5.00The best tour we had in Epernay! Seriously, everything else was not even a comparison. From the initial pickup we had a fabulous experience with our tour guide Ghislain, who shared the location of the birth place of champagne, also stopping by multiple picturesque locations on our way to a local family vineyard. We got a behind the scenes look of the complex process for champagne making and Ghislain was so patient in answering all of our questions through the time! We finished the visit with the tasting and beautiful view of the vineyard that felt like you were sitting with family. Cannot recommend this tour enough, book it and you won’t regret it!
