The tour starts outside the Bessie Smith Cultural Center and Chattanooga African American Museum where you'll learn about Bessie then you'll be guided step by step through the city.

5.00The audio tour was available before the trip-- so I had a great glimpse of things to come. Made for excellent planning and optimal enjoyment. Please note: the Walnut Street walking Bridge was closed for renovations in October 2025. But being there was still great. I walked along the riverfront below the bridge and learned a great deal from the monuments and placards on my side trips.
