Chichen Itza
Our first stop is Chichen Itza. We'll arrive at about opening time so besides having the archaeological site for your own you'll also avoid the heat. A multilingual certified guide (+- 1 1/2hrs) will explain you about the Itzáes, the ancient inhabitants of Chichén Itzá, their impressive 30m/98ft high Castle of Kukulcán (and its solar calendar reflected in it), the largest Ball Court in Mesoamerica and the Temple of the Warriors. After the guided visit you’ll have +- 1hr free time.
Cenote Yokdzonot
After visiting the archaeological site, we’ll go to a remote cenote. A quiet place to rest or take a refreshing dip. There we will have lunch made by the local Mayan women community.

Very nice tour with lots of information about the Maya! Also a nice change with Chichén Itzá, a cenote and the city of Izamal.

Loved that we were in a small private group (only 4 plus the guide.) He was extremely knowledgable and a wealth of information.

We had a wonderful day with José. Such a nice and knowledgeable guy. It was a private tour with lunch included. José was perfectly on time with excellent service. There was no rush at all. Communication with the MexiGo Tours team was swift and impeccable! We couldn’t recommend them more. Thx so much for such a wonderful day!

This was the best travel tour experience I have ever had! We had private transportation and an intimate tour from a local who was extremely kind and educational. Would recommend to anyone.

Don’t miss this one! We enjoyed a full day of fun, mixed with education and relaxation. Our guide, Jose, picked us up on time in a comfortable vehicle with extra water and snacks. He got us to Chichén Itza early so we could get our tickets and start the tour before the crowds and the heat. While the absolute temperature was very warm that day, there was a wonderful breeze helping to cool us. Jose is very knowledgeable about the Maya history and even brought visual aids! His English and accent is very good so we understood everything. We then stopped at a most beautiful cenote to cool down further and relax. This was followed by a freshly cooked Maya lunch in a clean and casual atmosphere during which time Jose and we got to know each other better. We were never rushed. We next were taken to Izamal to experience its beauty and gain more knowledge. We were introduced to a few of the local shop keepers and did not feel pressured to buy anything. Jose bought us some ice cream! After we toured a bit more of the city and beautiful basilica, Jose drove us comfortably home to our hotel, before dark, at dinner time, and we didn’t even miss out on the flowing house tequila!! This tour was worth the cost, every bit. My only hesitation before booking was the no refund policy for which I felt silly afterwards. If you know you will be in Valladolid, then know this: book this tour and have no regrets! And bring pesos. You may need them for the entry fee and will certainly want them for the tips to the fine chefs and to your most excellent guide! Jose, hasta pronto!

Punctuality to pick us up, luxury transportation and a guide, Gilberto, who is responsible for giving all the explanations of a good guide, as well as creating a very pleasant atmosphere. The bath in the cenote is a refreshing, fun and, in some sense, spiritual end to the visit of the Mayan world of Chichen Itza. After lunch, we went to Izamal to learn more about the three cultures and visited the Mayan vestiges and the convent of Candelaria. Good music in the car.
