  • Great tours

The tour to Chichen Itza was good, especially the early morning access because it was packed when we left at 10:30. We avoided the crowds. The cenote they took us to was beautiful and the restaurant was good. The Ek Balam tour was amazing and the highlight of the day! Well worth it. And our driver for the day was very friendly.

  • Great Full Day Chichén Itza + Ek' Balam Tour

We had an absolutely great tour to Chichén Itzá, Hubiku Cenote, and Ek' Balam. They picked us up exactly on time in a nice air conditioned van and we were at Chichén Itza 20min before it opened and our guide had our tickets ready (heads up it's faster if you let them buy your tickets and pay them in cash, no waiting in line to pay by card when you get there, no upcharge). The guide, Enrique, was fantastic. We've done a lot of tours this trip and he was one of the best, and very knowledgeable. With the timing we got in, we got to the Castillo while the plaza was mostly empty, great for photos. The rest of the tour was super informative and we were glad to have 40min of free time to walk to the cenote. We then drove to Cenote Hubiku which was shockingly empty. By eating first, we avoided the one tour bus that was there because as we were finishing up eating, they were coming out of the cenote so we had the cenote to ourselves for an hour! The food was fine, too. Not the worst tour food we've had. Finally, we did a quick drive to Ek' Balam where our guide Balthazar also gave a great tour. What a cool site that we didn't know anything about! We climbed up to the top of the palace and the view was fantastic. It's been great to learn about old and current Mayan culture. Throughout the day, our driver, Sergio, was great. Attentive, always waiting for us with water, and willing to give some information (in Spanish) as he drove. Great tour! Thanks to the whole team. It was easy to organize over WhatsApp, they were super responsive and always ready with the info we needed.

It was a great experience in general. Our guide Enrique for Chichen Itza is professional and knowledgeable. It was great to see Chichen Itza early as there were not a lot of people. The Hubiku cenote is a nice stopover and the food is not bad there. Our guide in Ek Balam (who I unfortunately did not get his name) is also nice and gave us a lot of information about the site. Our driver Martin is also very friendly and professional and tried his best to communicate with us although he doesn't speak English very well.

  • Great experience but priced too high

A lot of good things to say about the trip, but some mixed feelings too. Loved: getting to Chichen Itza early to get some really great photos before the crowds arrived. Had the Cenotes all to ourselves! Very cool experience. And hardly anyone at Ek Balam which meant a lot of undisturbed access. Didn't love: our driver was not a tour guide so there was no additional information. I wondered why this was so expensive when I had a private all day tour in another city for half the price (the driver was the guide).

  • Great tour and great people

I really enjoyed the tour! Best combination of two Mayan sites and cenote. The guides (Henry in Chichén Itzá and Jose in Ek Balam) were very knowledgeable and entertaining. The driver (Sergio) was very nice and considerate. I don’t speak Spanish unfortunately but both guides spoke great English and we have managed to communicate with Sergio well. I was going on my own and also found out that I will be the only person on tour. I was worried that the tour will get cancelled but it wasn’t. The timing worked really well and I had tours before the crowds arrived and I also had the cenote to myself at some point. I highly recommend this tour and this company! It was highlight of my trip to Mexico!

  • An excellent choice to meet the Mayans

Maria was an excellent Guide. He explained a lot of information and curiosities about both the archaeological sites we visited and the Mayans. Besides that it helped us to know also a little bit of the culture of the Maya currently since she is one of them. He focused on what we visited and not on trying to sell like many other guides. They were very friendly and friendly If you visit Chichen Itza or Ek Balam I recommend them!

  • A varied and thought-provoking day out

This trip gave us a lovely and varied day out, which covered a lot of ground. The fact that the tour started early meant that we reached Chichén Itzá just before it opened, so the bulk of our time there was spent before it became very crowded, and before the heat became very intense. Our guide there, Henry, was wonderful – he gave us interesting and practical insights into the function, acoustics and belief systems surrounding the structures, and was also an excellent photographer. We then got to spend a bit of time on our own wandering around the site, before our kind and flexible driver, Sergio – who ensured we were well supplied with water, throughout – took us to the cenote. We had a buffet lunch at the on-site restaurant before swimming in the gorgeous space. After that, Sergio took us to Ek Balam, and our guide there, William, was fantastic – his enthusiasm, curiosity and passion for the site were infectious, and taught us a lot, in a kind and conversational way, about the decoration, possible functions, and continued archaeological uncovering of the ruins. The buildings are very interesting and have a beautiful setting – it’s more interactive than Chichén Itzá; you can explore the structures in a different way, and it’s perhaps easier to get a feel for it as a space as it was once inhabited. Comparing the two two sites is, in itself, an interesting experience. Would definitely recommend! Make sure to bring cash for the locker and life jackets at the cenote, as well as for tips and entrance fees.
