Explore the first two miles of the Chilkoot Trail with your naturalist river guide who will then row you down the scenic Taiya river in one of our stable 18' rafts.
Once your float trip is complete, you'll enjoy a riverside snack and warm beverage. From here, we'll board back into the van and venture up the White Pass (north of Skagway) for sweeping views of towering mountains, glaciers and alpine lakes.
We'll return back through U.S. customs and back to Skagway once we've made a photo stop at the "Welcome to Alaska" sign.

My hike and float were extraordinary thanks to amazing topography and our guide, Troy. Troy led our group very professionally. He kept us all feeling safe on a fairly arduous hike, taught us a lot about nature in Alaska, and was very entertaining. He handled that raft with 8 people in it masterfully! Highly recommend! I left feeling exhilerated.

Thank you to Lenny and Preston. We had a blast on this tour. Hiking the Chilkoot trail with Lenny as our guide was an incredible experience. Thanks to Preston for helping us organize our tour when we got in town.

Enjoyed all 3 phases of this trip led by Cole -Hike: learned a bit of history as well as local vegitarion and its uses for both medicinal uses as well as its beverage usage. -Float: It was nice and relaxing. Cole did a very good job maneuvering to avoid the bumps. Was a nice calm float that we even got to have a guest captain take hold for a bit. Cole has the perfect Eagle call to get the Eagles to look at you for a photo. Summit Drive: Couldn't ask for a better day for site seeing at various stops. Nice and clear to see out through the terrain.

Excursion arranged by Nat Geographic. Visited Klukwan Village (which was marvelous) followed by a river float. Eagles, moose tracks, Tlingit culture, beautiful, beautiful scenery. Jack, our primary guide, was fun, enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. The guide in our raft, Raven, was also excellent. Can't recommend highly enough.

Our family of seven had a great time on this excursion! Jack, our guide, was awesome! He was patient with all of us getting through the steeper parts of the trail and he had a plethora of information about the history, as well as the flora and fauna in the area. The raft ride was great, we saw salmon in the river and bald eagles. Jack navigated the Taiya river with ease. Kendall and Troy helped getting set up and then packed up. We would not hesitate to book this excursion again and again! All around 5 star review and a 5 star review for Jack! "Almost" Bar and Grill.

Hike is moderate, rafting is relaxing and not strenuous and beautiful ride to glimpse the tundra. Kay was a great guide who kept the group engaged and enthusiastic. Recommend this if you want a more active experience than a train ride
