Wonderful experience - management was very efficient with sorting out logistical challenges and quick to respond to emails. My trekking guide, Pralad Simkhada, was fantastic - always patient and smiling and ready with some interesting information about the scenery and the country. Of course, the trek's scenery was stunning, with constantly evolving landscapes and spectacular valleys. I would definitely recommend this trek to anyone who has only a few days for trekking.

I would say you have to be moderately active to complete this walk, the first two hours of walk are intense, quite steep steps, ascending but with little shade. After lunch, the walk continues for another three hours, first ascending but its lot easier and through the forest so you are shaded, just over 1.5 hours in, you start to descend with your destination at the top of an easy pathed hill. Arriving in this tiny village allowed you to whiteness the aftermath of the earth quake, I stayed at hotel overlooking the Canyon with spectacular views. I was thoroughly surprised that each room has an en suit with warm water and a western toilet. This hidden gem is basic but worth it, even the hard mattress is part of the experience Sadly the views for me were foggy but I could still capture the beauty of the landscape- I also think in peak summer may not be the best time to do this walk, My guide told me spring was the best because of the temperature and clear skies. The second day was a 6/7 hour walk mostly flat (with stops) along a dirt road but within the forest, it wasn’t exactly what I had in mind but it was still pleasant, again with the fog, I didn’t get to see much of the landscape. The village I stayed in was gorgeous, however, the accommodation wasn’t sorted before arrival and the first place which was chosen was too expensive for the tour, I had the best night parting with the locals so I have no regrets but at the time I wish I would have said I would pay extra for a nicer room. The third day you have the option to climb to the highest peak, overlooking the canyon to take in the views, walk back to the village and then start your walk home. Again, walking along a road but descending and the scenery is beautiful, you do go off into the terrain also. I wasn’t expecting to be a solo traveler but my tour guide was fantastic. Overall I’m glad I did it, it was a great experience.
