Chobe National Park This is a full-day game viewing safari and river safari in the Chobe National Park. Because you are picked up at 7 am, this is the choicest time to encounter some of the big cats and nocturnal animals on the 1-hour drive to the border through the Zambezi National Park. You will be at the Chobe National Park shortly after 9am to start the day with half-day game drive in the park. This is the best time to see big cats, as they will still be active and hunting. The drive will continue until your break for lunch about noon. Lunch will be at the Chobe Safari Lodge (or similar) followed by the afternoon river safari on the Chobe River. This is a 3-hour cruise starting in the afternoon and ending around 4:00 pm. The cruise affords a chance to encounter elephants, hippos, giraffes, zebras and birds. You will be at the Zimbabwe border around 4:30pm for the 45 mile (70km) transfer to your Victoria Falls hotel. You will be back to your hotel around 6:00pm.

Chobe Experience with Savannah Adventures Chobe was truly the highlight of our many unforgettable adventures in Africa! Matt was our online contact and answered all our questions patiently — thanks to him, we ended up booking all our tours with Savannah Adventures. Eddie, our driver to the border, was friendly, knowledgeable, and shared fascinating insights about the area. Our land safari was simply incredible — while other jeeps chose a different route, we were rewarded with the rare sight of a leopard on his morning hunt and a pride of lions feeding on a kudu carcass. It was nature in its purest form — breathtaking beauty and raw reality side by side. We saw hundreds of elephants, giraffes, antelopes, and buffalos. The river safari was the perfect contrast — calm and magical — as we floated past elephants splashing in the water, hippos yawning in the sun, crocodiles lurking on the banks, and countless birds overhead. A must-do experience that exceeded every expectation — unforgettable from start to finish!

Chobe was truly the highlight of our many amazing adventures in Africa! Eddie, our driver to the boarder was friendly & very informative about the surrounding area. On our land safari we saw a leopard out on his morning hunt, a family of lions feeding on a carcass, 100’s of elephants, giraffes, antelopes & buffalos. The river safari was beautiful & relaxing . We got incredibly close to elephants playing in the water & saw many hippos ,crocodiles & birds. This is a must do tour, that far exceeded our expectations!!

Awesome experience visiting Chobe today for a safari and tiger fishing outing with Savannah Adventures. They went the extra mile to help celebrate a special birthday and all tour operators involved were very friendly and professional. We will definitely use them again. We saw so much wildlife and even some lion cubs with a kill. Special thank you to Eddy!

I just returned from an incredible trip to Chobe National Park with Savannah Adventures, and I can't stop smiling! The best part? We got to see a pride of lions lounging in the shade—absolutely stunning! Our guide was super knowledgeable and made the experience even better. We also spotted elephants and colorful birds along the way. The accommodations were cozy, and the food was delicious. If you're looking for an unforgettable wildlife adventure, I highly recommend checking out Savannah Adventures. You won't regret it! 🌍❤️

I was mostly disappointed with the land portion of this tour. The vehicle used was a modified pickup truck with tiered seating in the back, not a safari truck, which made it hard for the guide to communicate with us unless he physically left the cab. I ended up pointing out many of the animals myself for the group and the guide only pointed out about 3. Several times, the vehicle was driven to intentionally get in the way of elephants, including a mother and baby, which made our group uncomfortable. At one point, the driver navigated over rocks near the water’s edge and almost tipped the truck over into the water. Some tips: the park bathrooms don't have toilet paper or soap and don't flush. The guide only provides a snack and drink about 30 minutes before lunch so bring your own. The boat holds about 20 people and doesn't have a bathroom. The pros: I saw a wide variety of animals in a very short period of time. The buffet restaurant we ate at was very nice and had normal bathrooms.

If you are in Victoria Falls I would definitely highly recommend Chobe day trip. Savannah Adventures ensured we were picked up on time. Border formalities were easy. (We needed copy of our 17 year old's birth certificate - so remember that if you are bringing any under 18"s.). Kasa visa if you can get one makes things easier and cheaper. The Chobe is awsome. Photos can't always capture the majesty of the place. Amimals all around, including lion! Lunch was great and boat trip amazing. Fantastic day thanks to Savannah Adventures.

Out of this world. Arranged by the very reliable Savannah Adventures, everything went by clockwork. Smooth entry and exit to and from Botswana (if you can, ask for kasa visa when entering Zimbabwe, if you are to plan day trips to Zambia and Botswana). Within minutes of nearing Chobe we saw a pride of about 10 lions CLOSE UP (not guaranteed of course). The Chobe is beautiful and watching a herd of elephants majestically appear from the bush as they headed to the water, literally passing metres away, is a memory of a lifetime. There were so many other animals too, bull kudu with their spiral horns, giraffe, impala, hippos, wildebeest, and crocodile's a mile long! Not to mention the birds, like African Fish eagles, and Marabou Storks. Savannah Adventures made everything go to plan. Lunch was wonderful and the boat was a small one (which was great as we could get up close and personal with the wildlife!) I Highly recommend Chobe and Savannah Adventures!

My husband and I had an amazing day on the tour. We were able to choose the activities we wanted (game drive, fishing, visit to the quadripoint) and everything was well coordinated. Pickup was on time, and our driver to the border, Eddy, was great to chat with and shared tons of info. He also kindly stopped for us to see animals. The game drive with Richard was incredible. We saw lions, a leopard, impala, hippos, elephants, giraffes, and more. We also did a quick fishing trip and then walked over the bridge to the quadripoint. I definitely recommend this company.

Absolutely great day safari. On land, highlights were male lions very close up, splashed by elephants cooling off on the riverbank, and more in the morning. Then after a decent buffet lunch in a riverside hotel, a boat trip when we saw hippos, crocs, more elephants in the river and a pride of lions on the riverbank feeding on a buffalo they'd just killed. OK a bit gory but circle of life and all that. A truly memorable day, excellent guides and transfers who made sure border crossings were smooth. Thanks to all involved.
