You are taken care of from the moment they pick you up at your hotel/hostel. Helped with the Zimb/Botswana border process both ways (make sure you have Double Entry visa!) Morning on a game drive, slow start but by the end we got up close with A LOT of wildlife. Lunch was in Mowana lodge and that place was gorgeous. Great food. Afternoon in a boat spotting various birds/hippos crocs. Dropped off back at pick up spot. This is a FULL day activity. Don’t plan anything else that day. Shout out to Philip and Daniel who were our shepherds!

Overall, a very good experience, however we felt that some aspects can be done better. Pick up at hotel was on time with a very courteous driver - Eddie. At the border we were helped by Eddie to get through the Zimbabwe side and then handed over to our game ranger - Killer (yes you read right). Here we were not so impressed. We felt the game ranger could have assisted more in getting us over the border at Botswana and he certainly could have put in a better effort to look for land animals during the morning session. Chobe has so many different land animals but we only saw impalas, baboons and buffalo (and of course elephants). We are native to Africa and we have been on plenty of safaris, so we know that it is not guaranteed to see animals, however it felt like Killer just wanted to chase after elephants, which of course is great to see but we had a full afternoon on the cruise to spend with these giants. The lunch was a very, very rushed and disorganized experience with once again very little guidance from our ranger on what to do. What was disappointing is that we were not even served water at lunch - ALL drinks had to be purchased. After lunch we went on the water safari - this was a very nice experience with a very knowledgeable skipper - Gofa. He did his best to get us close to the animals and in such a position that everyone can take some good photos. We do think that the animals are a bit crowded by all the different boats - we would not have mind to be a bit further from the animals to give them their space. After the water safari we were handed back to our game ranger Killer who rushed to get us back to the border, where we had to find our own way again. At the Zimbabwe border we were very unsure what to do, it will go a long way if the driver taking us back to our hotel (not Eddie) facilitated the process. We were dropped safe and sound at our hotel around the time that was initially communicated to us. We have loved the visit to Chobe, but for a future trip would consider a smaller group tour and perhaps a stay over in Botswana.

Beautiful sightings on the safari and boat cruise...well worth the day spent! The buffet lunch was delicious and guides took really great care of our group, made lots of effort to make the experience pleasant and enjoyable for us. Met great people from around the world in the group. Lovely adventure and memorable experience

I would have given higher starts. The driver asked us as we entered in the park, which animals would we like to see first and we said the lions, and despite of our request and considering the time frame of 3 hours in the main land we had, we felt the driver wasted more time on the river bank showing Elephants and hippos etc. We were expecting to see few more game animals like Zebras, giraffes and lions. We were very disappointed that the time was too short to visit where the lions were. We only manage to see few Elephants and Impalas that's all we saw on main land from the Jeep ride. The park itself was beautiful and rustic. It would have been nice if we were given opportunity to see few more animals. The Boat ride was excellent and we saw few more Elephants Hippos and Crocodile, birds and few other animals, which was nice.
