  Horrible! Bus never showed up at designated stop. We texted them four times in the hour that we waited and got no response. We applied for a refund and were simply denied. No explanation, nothing. Viator dropped the ball too. I suggest Get Your Guide as a more reliable and consumer friendly vendor.

  The bus had problems the second time around. The bus moved at half of the speed it did first time. It could hardly make it up a hill. The tour guide told me the bus had a problem. I tried to speak to tour Operator who never responded. The tour wasted half of our day because it took twice as long to get to the same place we had driven by earlier that day. The bus felt unsafe as it was moving so slowly that cars would beep their horn. The tour guide also provided almost no information. There is no clear schedule on the stops on the way and you could wait for a long time before another bus arrives. We funded up taking an uber back because something was clearly wrong with The bus.

  We went on this tour. We went around the loop twice. Second time around the bus started having problems. Travelled at only like 25 mph even on the highway. Cars beeped at bus for going down slowly. It was really sort of dangerous. It made the second trip to the locks 2.5 hours versus just one hour the first time. The second time around the tour guide also provided almost no information. I complained to the guide and said something is mechanically wrong with the bus. He agreed, we never took the bus back because we did not trust it. Instead we used an uber. I complained both to Viator and the tour operator while on the bus that there is something wrong with the bus. The hour operator ignored all my chat messages, Viator was apologetic but refused to provide a refund. This tour operator is shady and non responsive and Viator won't help you and just take the operator's word. Terrible company. There is also no real schedule for the stops around the route. If you get off during the tour you won't know exactly when the next bus comes.

  Great way to see the city and keep things simple! Make sure to download the app. It isn’t perfect on timing for pick u but you can check with the guide. Very happy with our choice to do 48 hours for only $6 more!

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

• Best way to get the lay of the land

  The hop on hop off bus is the very best way to get the lay of the land early in a stay. I did two circuits on my first day in Panama and feel that I know exactly what I want to do for the rest of my stay. The Mail tour guide was excellent and spoke very good English, which was helpful. The audio system could be improved a bit but otherwise was OK. I would definitely recommend.

  A good way to see a bit of the city, there's not that much to see cultural wise in Panama City, but what you get to see is worth seeing, like the Panama Canal, Mercado de Mariscos, Biomuseo. One stop is actually right on the corner of the street of Hotel Casa Panama, as the stop Casco Viejo. So just walk there to wait for the tour bus. The driver and guides were also amazing, the guide of the first bus was so lively, she knew lots of facts and explained very well the history and interesting facts. The other guide who was a young guy also shared some facts and even shared the parties/activities with their corresponding venues that were happening for the Independence celebrations. This was nice, so you know where to celebrate the Independence with locals. The only improvement I would say, is to have a longer running time, that instead of around 4 PM, make it maybe until 7 PM, than you have more time to discover more stops on the itinerary.

  Not enough buses. Takes too long to wait for one to come by. Wasted too much time waiting for bus. Ended up paying Ubers instead.

  This tour is awful. There is no schedule, no signage, no one that answers locally. Bus schedule unless you get on at first stop maybe at the time and never get off, you will have no idea for any of it. I’m annoyed that I wasted time on something that could be so good, but is so poorly run!
