5.00We booked a 4 1/2 hour tour with pick up at our hotel. What transpired was closer to a 7 hour tour with our wonderful guide Fernando. He was well versed in all things Santiago, and not only took us to the main sights but also some out of the way gems! The communication ahead of time via WhatsApp was invaluable. I highly recommend this tour.

5.00We had a fantastic tour conducted by Fernando today. Collected at specified time at our hotel and vehicle used was perfect for our tour. Fernando initially took us around various neighbourhoods, explaining all information along the way, using excellent English. Our first main stop was at Bicentenario Parque where we saw black neck swans and enjoyed a pleasant stroll around. Thereafter we travelled to Metropolitan Parque of San Cristobal Hill where we used the cable car to the top station and walked to the imposing Virgin De La Immaculada Concepcion statue. Amazing views of the whole of Santiago. Next stop was the historic center where we initially visited an interesting coffee shop ( Coffee with Legs !) Coffee was very good and not something we have ever seen in UK. Afterwards we visited all of the historic sites on foot. Fernando provided a wonderful commentary, providing lots of information and highlighting lots of Chile's history and important figures and characters. At the conclusion of the tour we were dropped off back at out hotel. Fernando was superb. His knowledge and enthusiasm of the country's history and important figures was amazing. An absolutely brilliant tour conducted by Fernando. Thank you all !
