As you cruise through Basseterre, you will see the National Museum, Berkley Memorial, Independence Square, the Catholic church, and St. George's Anglican Church. As you head westward, you will see the War Memorial.

From that point you will head over to the Government House of St. Kitts.

Moving along your journey, you will take a picturesque drive to Timothy Hill, which will provide you with a panoramic view of the South East peninsula stretching out towards the sister island, Nevis. The Peninsula is a narrow strip of land that divides two bodies of water: the Atlantic to the left and the Caribbean to the right.

To finalize your journey, stop at the soothing Friars Bay Beach where you can walk on the golden sand and dip your toes in the Caribbean waters. You will soon understand why for many years Friars Bay has been the most popular beach for locals.

Timothy Hill

For a gorgeous view of St. Kitts and neighboring island of Nevis, head up to the top of Timothy Hill, a popular lookout spot where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Caribbean Sea at the island’s southeast peninsula. In the background you'll also have a view of our sister island Nevis. See Friar’s Bay and Frigate Bay below, alongside green gently sloping hills falling into the water below.

Independence Square

Independence Square formerly Pall Mall Square, was renamed on the 19th September 1983 after St.Kitts and Nevis became an independent nation. It is located on the eastern side of Basseterre bordering on Newtown. Its layout was designed to look like a Union Jack and the streets and houses surrounding it once dated to the mid-eighteenth century. Unfortunately, time and environmental damage have destroyed many of them. Some like the Court House and Public Library have been destroyed by fire and have been rebuilt.

The city tour was very poor Visit to a hotel .. some locations pointed out 5 min stop Timothy hill Then dropped at beach for 1045 Not value for money .

Great tour guide around the island he let us stop off for photo shoots, unfortunately when we got to friars beach it was far to busy no sunbeds left for us to use, we sat on a wall outside restaurant for three hours far to hot .

Nice day. We were the only two on the trip. Clean van with good ac. Toured the city, stopped at a beautiful scenic overlook and spent a few hours at the beach.

We were on a cruise and St Kitts was one of our stops. We didn't have a lot of time to explore the island. This tour was perfect and allowed us to see highlights of the island. Our tour guide, Vere, was very knowledgeable and passionate about his island. We loved Thomas Hill and made an extra stop at Fairview Botanical garden. The highlight of the tour was the beach. It was a great experience and we throughly enjoyed our guide, Vere.
