Why clear bottom kayaks? Our continued commitment to maintaining safety within our immersive experiences has led us to these technologically advanced kayaks, a finely crafted and mesmerizing new model of kayak. The Innovex material is not glass, but a highly durable plastic composite, like the overhead cock pits of fighter jets. The clear-bottom kayak does not simply lay a window panel under you, but rather a fully-formed inlay of Innovex allows water (and so bioluminescence) to rise around you, preserving the full experience without compromising paddler safety.

The bioluminescence from the jellies was outstanding and our tour guide, Island, made the experience fun and entertaining.

My friends and I had such a great time. This is my second time doing the bioluminescence tour. Both times I have enjoyed it so much. The tour guides, last time Zoey, this time Jackson, were both delights. We were able to see both the phytoplankton and the comb jellies this time. The beauty of creation never ceases to amaze me. Of you like nature, you will love it.

Went as a party of 4 and it was an amazing experience. The stars and Milky Way were the most visible I’ve ever personally seen and we got to see some comb jellies along the way. We missed dinoflagellate season, but that just gives us an excuse to come again. Jorge was a great tour guide and I felt safe even as a first time kayaker. He explained the stars, Kennedy Space Center, the cause of the bioluminescence, and so much more. He was very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. PSA: BRING SANDALS OR WATER SHOES!!! Most of our party made the rookie mistake of not packing any and we definitely paid for it.

Very expensive, wet life preservers, no bathrooms, basically just kayaking in the dark, way overpriced activity for not seeing much of anything.

Crystal was such a nice guide and she went the extra mile(s) for us. She was new in this spot so she had went out early to scope out the area (she is in one of my photos). We had the benefit of seeing the sunset which was gorgeous. Because it was so early and there was quite a bit of light pollution we didn’t see a ton of bioluminescence but we did see some and it was amazing. Crystal did everything she could by taking us all over and around mangroves to try to find some - and we did. But it was so beautiful out in the water at night that it was still worth the trip!!! Our group was very small which was delightful. The only thing to be aware of is that the clear kayaks are not nimble crafts and do not maneuver like a standard kayak does. You will get used to it but they consider them “bathtubs in the water” and that is a very apt description. With that said it’s really neat seeing the bioluminiscent creatures under the boat!!! It was a great time and we are really pleased we went. Do not forget the big spray though!!!

We had a great time. The tour lasted about 2 hours. Jackson was outlr guide and he was very knowledgeable. It was late in the season for the bioluminescents but the comb jelly fish were everywhere. We saw dolphins, possibly a manatee, an Osprey and tons of fish jumping. The stars were bright and the water was calm. Overall it was a great way to spend the night. Bring bug spray...

Good staff, terrible weather. Went to the site but thunder lightening wind and waves. Of course in Florida summer rain is always possible. So the event cancelled was by the company chief. Unfortunately rescheduling for our party of 10 isn’t possible.

We headed out just as the sun was setting and melting into soft shades of pink and purple. The water was calm, and the air had that quiet stillness that only comes right before nightfall. As we paddled farther from shore, the light faded and the stars began to peek through the sky. Once darkness settled in, the bioluminescence slowly began to appear. Slightly glowing with each stroke the paddle like sparks dancing beneath the surface. It was subtle however as the night drew in it was more visual and a trail followed up beneath the clear kayak. We saw cob jellyfish, with their translucent bodies pulsing with light when gently handled. Flying mullet fish leapt from the water, catching the moonlight as they skimmed the surface. And above us, shooting stars streaked across the sky, adding a cosmic touch to an already surreal experience. A special thank-you to Caroline, whose warmth, insight, and easygoing nature made the evening even more memorable. She was calm, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the environment and struck the perfect balance between informative and laid-back, letting us soak in the beauty while feeling completely supported. This tour wasn’t loud or flashy—it was tranquil, immersive, and quietly breathtaking. If you’re looking for a way to disconnect and witness something rare and beautiful, this is it!

If you have ever wanted to do this now is the time. August 19, 2025. The bioluminesense is so bright!!! Our tour guide Catherine was so awesome, we did the latest tour mid week and we had a small group and it was so great. I have done it several times now but the bio is the best I have ever seen. Saw jellies, mullet and a manatee.
