Cocora
Cocora Valley, in Salento (one of the places that belong to the Coffee Triangle) is one of the few entrance areas to Los Nevados National Natural Park, an environmentally protected park of snowy peak mountains. Besides, the valley was considered as Coffee Cultural Landscape of Colombia Heritage Site by UNESCO. Hike through this magic valley and enjoy some of the best views of the world. Be sure to have your cellphone fully charged, we know you’ll want to take pictures of the amazing nature. And, if you suddenly get caught by the mists and winds, don’t worry about it, that’s how weather tends to be, and it will only make the landscapes look even more magical.
Salento
Salento and the Cocora Valley will show you their best natural spots along with their traditional coffee farms and the warm people who take care of the territory. It is a great combination. So, believe us when we say it is one of those Colombian natural treasures you can’t miss.

Absolutely the best tour I did in Colombia. This was a private tour and they will pick you up from your lodging. The tour guide Pedro was so knowledgeable about the history of the area and country so I learned a lot Because it’s private, this allows the itinerary to have some flexibility depending on the person. Would highly recommend this tour! Totally okay to do as a solo traveler!

The hike was beautiful and the coffee farm tour was very informative. This was a private tour, so we were able to choose things like what to eat for lunch (our guide recommended a restaurant based on what we wanted to eat). The only thing we think could improve the tour would have been a bit more info on what the tour entails ahead of time. And we wish we had known to bring bug spray to the coffee farm! Other than that, we had a wonderful time.

We travelled South America for 3 weeks and this was by far the best tour we went on! We booked with Gran Colombia and Pedro was our tour guide - he was absolutely phenomenal!! He went above and beyond to give us an amazing history of Colombia and the Salento region. Cocora valley is a must do as it is gorgeous and Pedro explained all the history behind the valley and palm trees which was very interesting. The coffee farm tour was also equally amazing as it teaches you a lot about the coffee experience and lets you get hands on. Overall this was the best tour possible, the day was not too long and it was very relaxing as well. Pedro definitely went above and beyond and taught us so much about Colombia and he was very easy going and catered to exactly what we wanted to get out of the day!

This tour was one of the highlights of our Colombia trip! Our guide Adriana was the absolute best - we were so well taken care of and she made sure we had the best experience possible. The Cocora Valley walk was gorgeous - and we were in awe of the scenery. The coffee farm tour was well beyond our expectations - it was so fun, we learned a lot, and were fully entertained by Jonathan.

We had the best day in Salento on our full day tour! We started in the Cocora Valley, spent time in Salento learning the history, and then ended the day with a wonderful coffee tour. Our guide Pedro was incredibly knowledgeable and taught us so much throughout the day. We had so much fun seeing the amazing views and riding on the jeeps. We also had a wonderful lunch from a recommended restaurant in town . As two female traveler’s, we felt completely safe the whole time and would 100% recommend taking the time to visit Salento for this tour. Bonus points if you get to tour with Pedro - he was so fun, kind, and showed us the best spots.
