The experience was very positive from start to finish, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the Coffee Region (Eje Cafetero). I learned a lot about the coffee production cycle and Colombian coffee culture. Being Italian, it was especially interesting for me to discover how coffee is actually produced — although I must admit, it was a bit of a culture clash with the way we Italians like and drink our coffee! ;) The only downside was my interaction with the lady at the coffee shop in Salento, where I purchased the entry tickets for the tour. Unfortunately, she had quite an unfriendly and rude attitude, which almost put me off buying the tickets.

Very informative tour. Nicholas, the guide, has a big knowledge, it was fun, too. I highly recommend this tour at Finca el Ocaso.

The beginning was a little rough as our ride was 30 mins late due to a mishap but they were very apologetic and got us to the coffee farm as soon as they could. Nicholas was our tour guide and he was amazing and so knowledgeable about the whole coffee process. It is crazy to see how it goes from farm to your cup. The taste the different flavors of coffee. It was a great experience!

It was a very nice tour. The guide was very funny, knowledgeable and really taught about coffee. It was worth the price and included transportation, coffee picking, preparation and tasting. I left appreciating coffee and it's cultivation. Highly recommend

Ana, our guide, was completely unengaged. She spoke extremely fast with a strong accent and basically no one could understand half of what she said. Then when a girl asked her (2 times throughout the tour) to slow down, she completely ignored her. She answered quite mean to the only couple of questions she had, and speeded up evidently. We all perceived she didn't want to be there. When a guy gave her a negative feedback after the tour, she didn't answer back and ignored her too It's a pity, the tour had potential. But it was really really bad.

We were given very interesting explanations by an English speaking guide, Nicolas. It is an absolute must. Very nicely situated. Mosquito repellent is also recommended.

Great experience, learnt so much about coffee and how great Colombian coffee is. Nicholas our guide was knowledgeable and passionate about coffee, he obviously loves his job. I’m no coffee connoisseur but went on the tour as I love cappuccino and the best cappuccino I’ve had at home in the UK has always been made with Colombian coffee. Rather than booking a tour if you’re staying in Salento it’s much cheaper to use Willy’s Jeeps in the town and pay an entrance fee at the coffee farm.
