Extremely well rounded tour with aspects on coffee, community, and history. Daniela was great at explaining everything, and it make my trip to Medellin more meaningful.

Carolina and the family we visited were amazing! My boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed the cable ride, history facts, and coffee harvesting. Everyone was very nice and it was great to hear about the personal history of Medellin coffee farmers. We learned a ton about how this community has been impacted by coffee production and also got to see the process first hand.

This was the best tour we took on our trip to Colombia. If you want to do a Coffee Tour, then this is the one you should do. It is small and intimate, and it is close to Medellin, so you don't have to be don all day. The opportunity to go on the Cable Tour is great as well so that you can see the view all the way to the top. Melisa is the best. She is so knowledgeable about Medellin as well as the coffee tour. It was so refreshing to hear her perspective of Medellin while you are on your way to the Coffee Tour. Yes, it is a lot of walking once you get off the Cable Car and travel into La Sierra area but just take your time and the walk is worth all of the views that you will see. Melisa will allow you walk at your pace! And once you get into the house for the initial presentation, you will be greeted by the coffee family and given a coffee to partake of while you settle in. Estiven is so helpful and knowledgeable about coffee farming and he will be your guide at the actual coffee farm. And I love how Rosa (owner) hires the young women from the local school as part of her tour guides. It was so great to see the confidence expressed by Liz and Jessica! Kudos to them for delivering a great presentation. And once you get to the farm, have fun working for your cup of coffee. I never knew what was involved in picking coffee beans. The experience is so worth it. Oh and if you don't like bugs then you might want to wear jeans and a long sleeve. They do provide you with a natural bug spray though if you are wearing shorts and short sleeve like I was. And be sure to listen intently to the story of La Sierra and the people from Liz! And the coffee was great (so was the little pastry surprise too-so yummy!) In summary if you're looking for a small, close and intimate coffee tour then this is the one for you. Choose the morning tour so you get Melisa!

Great host Carolina - her English was superb and she helped my Spanish. She loved the dogs en route and knew their names = kind heart. Great trip! I got sacked for picking too many green coffee beans. I like green😂☕

I did not know what to expect but this was one of the most wonderful tours I’ve ever been on. Make sure you bring water and wear comfortable shoes as there is a lot of walking. if you have any problems or problems with stairs, you can still do it, but it will take longer. I was the only one who signed up for this tour so it was like having a personal tour guide. you got a short but informative history of the family coffee, plantation and about coffee. They did not go on and on and. you could remember everything. They then took you to the fields and taught you how to pick coffee beans. That was fun, but it could be slippery if it rained the day before we went back to the home and we were shown the differences in the different beans and how they were processed. It was the perfect amount of time and you learned so much. I wound up buying a lot of coffee to bring back for friends and we will see what they do with the coffee at customs. I recommend this tour 100%.

Annie was a fantastic guide! We had such a wonderful time just be prepared to walk! It’s uphill, it’s steep and there are lots of stairs. The hospitality and kindness of the people who make the coffee is well worth it though!

Loved this tour! Educational and fun Expect some physical challenge as in climbing steps within the neighborhood before getting to the farm and going uphill. Anne (Emglish guide) gave us space and time to go at our own pace. She is very considerate. Anne, gave ud a great overview of the history of La Sierra as we walked to the farm, her English skills are fantastic. Rosa, the owner covered the whole coffee process (from farm to table) quite succinctly. There were more people involved and each contributed with their own skills - very organized. I highly recommend this tour. Part of their process serves their community.

I highly recommend this experience. We were able to meet the faces of the city and learn more about the culture and activities of this city. The guide was very friendly, and the other people in charge of making this tour possible were also very nice. Don't miss it!
