Our tour guide will pick you at your location, then you will walk through coffee plantation to explain how local people work. After having that explanation you will be taken to a Cofffee Cooperative to learn now how to clean, wash, dry the coffee beans to get the best cup of coffee.

3.00It was just my husband and I who signed up for the tour. We got there 5 minutes late and the tour ended 1.5h later when the description of this tour on TripAdvisor states the duration as being 3h. We could tell that our guide was knowledgeable. He knew the processes and answered all our questions confidently. We had previously attended a coffee tour two years ago in Colombia and the guide spent 3 whole hours educating us about coffee, techniques of brewing coffee, etc. After our tour here in San Juan, a lady gave us two small cups of coffee to sample and that was it. I learned more about the growing, harvesting and preparation of the coffee beans but we were left wondering if there needed to be more to this tour to cover the 3 hours we’d paid for.
