We will visit the Colca Canyon, the deepest in Peru, with more than 4000 meters deep. We will enjoy beautiful landscapes that surround from the Arequipa Exit until we reach the Canyon, we will also observe the Vicuñas National Reserve in Arequipa.

What To Expect
Heading to the Colca Canyon
Chivay
At 07:00 am Pick up at the hotel and departure from Arequipa to the Colca Canyon. We headed down the paved road towards Yura, crossing Pampa de Arrieros and Pampa Cañahuas. Observing the incompatible South American camelids like; vicuñas, llamas, alpacas and migratory birds. After reaching Vizcachani. We enjoy a Coca tea, to acclimatize the body, for height. Continuing with the tour we appreciate the tocjras, lagoons and bojedales and at the same time observe some migratory birds such as Flamingos, ibis. Continuing we reach the highest point of the Patapampa route, also called the viewpoint of the Volcanoes. From there you can see the volcanic chain in particular: al Hualcahualca, Sabancalla and Ampato. After the view we descend to the town of Chivay. (3600 m) Lunch. Accommodation at the Hotel.
La Calera
We will be able to enjoy the thermomedical waters in the town of Chivay.
Colca Canyon and Cruz del Condor
Colca Canyon
In the morning at 05.30 am breakfast at the hotel. Then leave for the Cross of the Condor where we will stay for a period of 2 hours approx. Place where you can appreciate in its greatest dimension the depth of the Colca Canyon and also the flight of the Condor at close range. Return to Arequipa we will observe archaeological remains, pre-Inca agricultural terraces and other panoramic views of Colca Canyon. We will pass through the towns of Pinchollo, Maca, Achoma, Yanque in the latter we will make a stop, where we can observe its typical Churches, its artisan center, the typical dress of its inhabitants, among others.

5.00Colca Canyon! Spectacular View and impressive Landscape. It is the world's third deepest canyon in the world. Was lucky enough to spot a lot of condors on my visit! Still in awe at how beautiful the scenery was. I enjoyed the hiking treks, discovering traditions, meetings with local people, and to we their lives in their natural environment. If you are anywhere near I would recommend this place.

5.00Great 2 day hike Colca Canyon from Arequipa, Very good place, something you need to visit if you come to Arequipa. A spectacular canyon, and in my view even more spectacular historical site. Definitely try to get to the canyon early! Condors are only usually seen between 8am-10am. We had luck in seeing 2! This place is worth going through what I went through. Pictures don't describe the beauty of it. Please visit the canyon if you are ever in arequipa.

5.00I had a wonderful -2day trip to the Colca Canyon! Just the place we were looking for in Peru. The views are breathtaking and there are few places I have seen with such views. Try to get to the canyon early! Condors are only usually seen between 8am-10am. Amazing experience to see the Condors flying around the canyon. This place is so special and the hostels are so friendly and so chilled. We had a great guide, spoke very good English. A really friendly guy.

5.00We did a 2 days hike through the Colca Canyon. The views are absolutely amazing! To get to Colca Canyon, there is a zig-zag road up a mountain range - so be prepared for an exciting drive to this area. As for the views at Colca Canyon, the views are stunning, and the canyon is deep. 6-7 hour bus ride from Arequipa Watching the Condors was the highlight of course, but staying here for a few days is unmatched. I enjoyed the hiking treks, discovering traditions, meetings with local people, and to we their lives in their natural environment.

5.00Beautiful place where you can see wild condors. The landscapes of Colca Canyon are absolutely unbelievable. The natural beauty, peaceful atmosphere, and affordability make it a must-see destination for anyone looking to explore the wonders of Peru. There’s a short hike, but it’s uphill. Our guide was also very nice, spoke perfect English, informative and kept us to time. A moment you won’t forget is when Condors are flying above you! The landscape is breathtaking, and the whole day just felt magical. I would recommend you the 2 days trekking is a really good experience full of awesome views!
