The tour reservations have strict timing. To join the tour you are required to be at the meeting point for check-in at least 30 minutes prior to your tour departure time.
If you arrive late for the meeting time, it will not be possible to join the group or reschedule, unless you pay for the activity again. As per "No Show" rules you will not be entitled to a refund.
Please provide an active phone number during the booking process in order to be contacted about last minute changing.
Pets are not allowed inside the venue
Every participant MUST bring an id or a photo of it. It is mandatory requested by the monument in order to enter the Colosseum Underground.
Each traveler must present a valid passport or ID document that matches the name provided at the time of booking for successful entry to the Colosseum and Roman Forum.
The tour might begin either the Roman Forum or the Colosseum, depending on the order.
If you’re traveling with a school group, this tour isn’t available, as school groups have their own dedicated ticket types. Please contact us for more information.
Purchasing the guided tour, you are acknowledging and consenting that the Colosseum Underground admission fee is 24 € for adults, along with a 2 € booking fee, and free entry for children under 18. The remaining amount covers professional licensed tour guide along with other services, headsets, booking fees, and tour amenities. The tour operator provides transparency and is looking to ensure your understanding of the cost breakdown, enabling you to fully appreciate the value of the guided tour.

Roman Forum
Just west of the Colosseum is the Roman Forum, which for many centuries was the place where the future of the ancient western civilization was decided. We will also provide you with access to the Roman Forum and you will still be under the careful attention of our expert guide. Although today the Roman Forum stands in ruins, for many reigns it was at the very center of Rome’s activities. It started as a marketplace for daily shopping, but as the power of the Empire grew, it became much more important. In this part of the tour, you will explore the remnants of ancient grandiose temples, bustling marketplaces, and imposing civic buildings. We will also show you the place where Rome first began—on Palatine Hill. Rome’s ancient existence has earned it the name “the Eternal City,” and its time as the ruling city of the lands bordering the Mediterranean Sea has earned it the designation “Capital of the World.”

5.00Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about all details concerning the colosseum and the forum. She kept it very entertaining with many tidbits of history that either I was not aware of or had forgotten. The pace seemed relaxed and not rushed. I highly recommend the tour and our guide although embarrassingly we cannot recall her name.

4.00The entire trip was well organized. Everyone from the tour company were friendly and enthusiastic! Our tour guide was fantastic and you could tell she truly enjoyed her job. The Colosseum was amazing and getting to visit the Underground was really spectacular. The Roman Forum and Palatine Hill was a lot. Our guide explained where we should go, but it was way too much to cover in a half of a day. I would recommend dedicating an entire day for those. My only criticism is that is was difficult to understand our guide because of her accent and she did speak quickly. But overall, it was excellent!

5.00The underground experience was amazing. We were only one of two groups in there and away from crowds. A unique experience. The guide took us through crowds expertly as we had priority admission and was sympathetic to my husband’s physical needs by showing lifts/seats where possible. The headphones were quite crackily throughout the tour although guide tried to solve it and were also uncomfortably hard. There are softer ones. However, the whole tour was well worth it as we saw everything we wanted to see.

3.00Our first guide for the Roman forum was good and engaging. Unfortunately our second guide for the underground was completely impossible to understand. She spoke in a very monotonous voice with a thick accent. Mumbling and with no enthusiasm. She was asked to speak more clearly and unfortunately it was still impossible to understand. It was amazing to have access to the underground but unfortunately it was not an enjoyable experience because we couldn’t understand what was said

5.00Teddy was our tour guide. He was extremely knowledgeable and made the whole tour very interesting. He gave us time to look at all the interesting things that he was explaining. We felt paying extra for the underground tour was well worth it. The tour was over 3 hours long and we felt it was exceptional and definitely a major highlight of our trip to Rome. We would highly recommend this tour.

3.00The 1st part outside was terrific. Juliana was a wonderful guide! Learned so much! So interesting. The 2nd part underground was also very interesting but our guide had such a thick Italian accent and no one could understand her! We paid extra for English and it wasn’t fair! The whole group was upset and we were all talking about it! That part was unacceptable!

5.00We were slightly late due to a misunderstanding on the reservation but everyone, including our guide, was incredibly accommodating and kind. They helped us get into the coliseum despite our tardiness and meet up with our group. Our tour guide was incredible and took pictures, provided great stories and connected with the group. Overall was a great experience and would recommend to anyone.

5.00This tour was amazing and Maya was so fun and knowledgeable! My entire family enjoyed it. We had the 9 am booking for the underground tour. We visited the underground, arena floor, 2nd level, and palatine hill. We did receive an email with plenty of advance notice that the time changed and we had to get to the meeting spot at 8:15am. The meeting spot was very easy to find. My family highly recommends this tour!
