Arenal Hanging Bridges
The hanging bridges consists of a series of suspension bridges that are suspended high above the forest floor,providing visitors with a breathtaking view of the surrounding area. As visitors cross the suspension bridges, they will have the opportunityto observe the forest canopy and the wildlife that inhabits it as well visitors may spot a wide variety of animals, including monkeys, sloths, toucans, and other exotic birds.

5.00Carlos is an amazing tour guide. He is very detailed and informative. We would've never experienced the tours the same without him. He has a great eye for spotting the rarest wildlife. And with the help of his scope that be brought, we were able to see everything up close. He made the tours fun and he was very patient and accommodating with our group and went at a pace that we were all comfortable with. If you wanna see the real La Fortuna, I would 100% recommend booking with him.

5.00Carlos is the most educated tour guide! He has a wealth of knowledge on the different types of animals, insects and reptiles. The other tour guides were bringing their guest over so Carlos could explain to them where to look and inform them. Not even 5 minutes in Carlos spotted a sloth and pulled over so we could take pictures! Don’t make the mistake of booking the hotels tours call Carlos his English is phenomenal and his knowledge of La Fortuna beats everybody else. CALL CARLOS YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!

5.00Carlos is an outstanding guide who made our trip (a large group of family and friends) to Costa Rica unforgettable. From start to finish, he was excellent. He's funny. Charming. Genuine. His deep knowledge of wildlife is genuinely impressive. He has incredible spotting skills, it's actually scary how good he is. We saw sloths, monkeys, bats, frogs, snakes, and more. Without him, we would’ve missed seeing 90 percent of those animals on our hikes. Carlos is also incredibly respectful of the environment. Some other guides let you feed and pet the animals, but Carlos is obviously a person who has done his research and discourages disrupting the natural world. His care for Costa Rica’s natural world is obvious. He’s just as knowledgeable about the country’s history. I am a history buff and really enjoyed the stories he shared as we rode to our destinations. The experiences he arranged were phenomenal. The pontoon boat ride was full of wildlife. The night hike was a highlight. He has a high quality scope, which added so much to the experience, letting us see everything up close. He recorded plenty of animal videos for us with our phones, which was great. The food he shared with us was delicious. It's clear Carlos is very thoughtful about how he plans his tours. Carlos truly went above and beyond to make the trip special. We’re so grateful for his guidance and kindness. He's also just a genuinely kind guy, it really was sad to say goodbye. I wholeheartedly recommend booking a tour with him. Wishing him and his family all the best!

5.00Carlos was an excellent guide. He planned all of our activities for our family of 9 over three days. The multi tour was amazing, as well as the sloth tour and night tour. He also arranged for us a coffee and chocolate tour (also amazing), zip line tour, and hot springs. For the tours where he guided us, he provided very comfortable transportation. For the other tours, he arranged all of our reservations so things were quick and easy when we arrived. We just had to give our name and that was it. He is very knowledgeable as a naturalist and about Costa Rica in general. He also made extra effort to provide excellent snacks and meals. And we have smaller children and he made sure to recommend specific hot springs and zip line tours that are good for kids. Very highly recommended.

5.00It's hard to overstate how much I enjoyed the tours with our guide Carlos in Costa Rica. When you hire a guide you hope that he's friendly, knowledgeable about the area, and in a place like Costa, can spot wildlife. Carlos just blew us away in all three of these areas. His ability to see wildlife where I would just see a tree or a leaf or a hole, or on a tree that I could barely see, was just uncanny. We ended up seeing so many different types of wildlife, some of it quite rare, that I was just amazed. Not only did he point wildlife out to us, he taught us how to spot it ourselves. If you're going to Costa Rica and you're in the La Fortuna area, do yourself a big favor and give Carlos a call. I can almost guarantee you will be very happy you did

5.00Carlos with Rent a Guide was the BEST. A group of nine of us booked several tours (6) with Carlos. He was so incredibly knowledgeable about all things (Costa Rican culture, history, wildlife, plant life), accommodating to our varying schedules and pick-ups at our vacation rental, AND extremely personable on top of that. He was able to spot wildlife from what seemed out of nowhere, and had a spotting scope he brought everywhere too, so we saw wildlife we would have not certainly not seen had we gone to these areas by ourselves. We felt like we made a good friend after we spent three days with him, and we were sad to part! Would 1000% recommend booking with Carlos/Rent a Guide.
