Join us on our newest tour offering as we experience the incredible craft beer scene in beautiful Chinatown and Old Town in Victoria, B.C. This 2.5-hour walking tour visits 4 local breweries and iconic pubs in the historic Chinatown and Old Town neighbourhoods. There are 4 beer tastings and 3 food tastings from local vendors. Between tastings, we explore the hidden alleyways of these historic districts. Like our award-winning food tour, the Alleyways and Ales Craft Beer Tour includes insider information about local brewers and a fun dialogue about the history of this remarkable part of Victoria.

5.00Amazingly fun tour. Andy is an interesting and engaging guide who will fill you with delicious bites of interesting food while guiding you through the charming streets of downtown Victoria. I wish we had time to do the afternoon tour, it was that much fun. When we left, we felt like we had a new Canadian friend. Thanks, Andy.

5.00From start to finish, Alleyways and Ales Craft Beer Tour was a 10 out of 10 experience. As well as being well-organized, informative, and fun, it was filled with fantastic brews, and delicous local foods. The pacing of the tour was perfect, allowing us to enjoy each stop without feeling rushed as well as allowing enough time to meet and hear directly from the staff/brewers about their techniques and passion for the craft. If you are a beer lover, or looking for a fun and social experience, I highly recommend this tour. It's a fantastic way to discover new favorites and learn more about craft beer and the cool alleyways in Victoria.

5.00Alleyways and Ales was such a rad time! The beers were all good, the brew-pubs each unique, and walking through some hidden alleys was a cool experience. Don't worry Lager fans, it's not just Ales! At each stop, there are 3 options of beer to choose from based on colour type: Lighter (lager, pilsner, kolsch), Medium (IPA, ales), Dark (porter, strong dark beer). There were some really interesting flavours to try. Our tour guide Al was super friendly and informative. We got a little bit of backstory on each brewpub and the beers as well as some interesting history about Victoria and it's alleyways and squares. Al also made a fun toast to accompany each sampling. You won't get hungry as the snacks on the tour were so delicious as well! About 2.5 hours long, the timing and spacing of the drinks and food seemed perfect. Before we left, Al made sure to recommend plenty of safe ways to get home. We walked away at the end of this tour with a happy buzz and full hearts. Cheers!

5.00The Victoria Craft Beer scene is so good where does one even start exploring - this tour, that’s where! The beers were amazing with choices for all tastes, the snacks provided were uniquely local and so delicious, and the venues were very welcoming and friendly. On top of all this we learned so much about this iconic part of the city from our guide during the short strolls between venues. Thanks for a great afternoon!
