The area of the valley between Pisac and Ollantaytambo is known as the Sacred Valley Tour of the Incas. On this tour, we will drive through the mountains of the Sacred Valley of the Incas which held great significance in Inca Culture as salt pools, which act as evaporation chambers. They spill out of the mountain and down the mountainside at 12,000 feet above sea level. Owned by local farmers, these pools have become the main economic activity for all the locals. The Valley has a milder climate than Cusco. You will see a succession of picturesque villages, agricultural terraces, and several archeological sites.

5.00This was a great experience working with TMT. We were a small group. My colleagues went on the Lares Trek. I injured my knee prior to the trip and was in jeopardy of cancelling. However, the TMT folks offered a private tour for myself out of Cusco while my friends continued their trek. The guide and driver provided an outstanding experience with a level of professionalism that I will never forget. They arranged my tours so that I could meet up with my friends after their trek where we continued our journey together into Mach Picchu. Thank you TMT for all you did for us. 5.00This was an outstanding tour. Our guide and driver were both lovely. Our guide was enthusiastic, informative and happy to answer our questions. Due to a mistake on my part, we started late. Despite this, these two fabulous hosts tailored the tour to our interests and managed to take us to Ollantaytambo, to the Moray ancient experimental fields, to Moras to see the salt fields, and to Chinchero to see some local artisans demonstrate how alpaca wool is made, dyed, and woven. The scenery in the Sacred Valley and highlands is exceptionally beautiful. It was a treat to be in a large van driven by someone who knew the roads well and to be able to look out the windows to see the countryside up close. This day trip was one of the highlights of our trip to Peru. I highly recommend this company and the personalized service it offers!

5.00Elio was one of the best guides that we had in Peru. We really enjoyed traveling with him on our one day tour of the Sacred Valley. He was extremely friendly, well informed, spoke perfect English, offered flexibility for the groups' desires, and made us feel very comfortable. We learned so much, not only about the Incas but also about their descendants who are still living in mountain villages spread out across the country. We would recommend him for any type of trip and if we return to Peru we hope to join him on a longer trip to the mountains. Thank you, Elio!
