The island is indeed beautiful. Our guide was not the most talkative but he made a decent effort and was a careful driver. As for the so called "typical lunch", we were first taken to a restaurant in Ponta Do Sol, "Caleta", which was closed being a saturday and can be consulted on Google. We were obviously not impressed. In the second restaurant, we were asked if we had chosen the 1200 (Cabo Verde escudos) option for lunch. We answered when we booked the tour online nobody said anything about price limits and that the "typical lunch" was included in the total price. Anyway, apart from this hiccup, everything else went smoothly.
