What To Expect
Our guide and the community ambassador with meet you there and will give you the historical context of the Barrio Moravia, explain its origins in the 60's as an illegal neighborhood and explain one version of the "transformation of Medellin"
Visit La Resistencia de Moravia. Get to know the "other side of the transformation of Medellin" which is the version no one talks about and understand why hundreds of families have resisted for more than a decade the reallocation plan set by the government.

5.00Toto and Gladys were fantastic guides. The history of Moravia being built on the garbage was shocking and very interesting. We also saw how the area is improving for the community such as the garden ran by women and La Casa de Todos. The community does still face challenges with overpopulation but it is good to get a true picture of this.

5.00Absolutely fantastic and truly unforgettable. The best part was definitely the explanations: the guide did an amazing job helping us understand the history and transformation of the neighborhood. Everything was explained clearly and with real passion. What made the experience even more special was the presence of Gladys, a local woman who lived through this history herself. Listening to her personal stories alongside the guide’s narration brought the past to life in a very moving and authentic way. Both Toto (the guide) and Gladys are wonderful people, kind, engaging and welcoming. It was a real pleasure to spend time with them. This is a tour not to be missed, truly interesting from start to finish. The three hours flew by as we walked through the streets of Moravia. Highly recommended!

5.00Every second of this tour was full of heart and was deeply moving and inspiring. It was such an honour to meet a woman with the fire and spirit that Gladys has and to hear her stories and that of a community that represents the true essence of revolution. Toto guided the tour with so much joy, spirit, and passion and has such an obvious love for his community and them for him which added to the feeling of welcome from the community. I would highly recommend this tour, I didn't want it to end! I feel immensely grateful to have had the opportunity to be welcomed into this community and to see what is possible when people come together and take whatever rubbish they're given (literally and metaphorically), and make a life full of vibrancy, ingenuity, and hope for future generations. Thank you from the bottom of my heart ♥️
