We were received by the owner, Lokesh Matur and welcomed to the kitchen. He gave a very good introduction to the different spices before starting the class. For every dish, he demonstrated and let us execute. After completing the preparations, "our" dinner was served in the family's private living room. Besides learning how to cook Indian food, we also had good conversations. What a wonderful way to spend an evening! We hope to get a chance to introduce Lakesh Matur and his wife to Danish cooking at our house some day.

We feared this might be a very touristy experience, but in the end it was just the two of us spending a relaxed evening with a very welcoming and friendly family. We were shown the basics of rajasthani cooking, shared our own experiences and learned more about everyday life in India. Would do this again in a heartbeat, thank you very much for your hospitality!

To be welcomed so warmly into the typical middle class home of Ravi and Suman was a highlight of my trip to Jaipur. They are kind, have great positive energy and curiosity. I was the only participant, and they treated me like a long lost family member. And, yes, we cooked and ate. This meal was quite literally the best meal of my trip so far. The paneer was my favorite. Suman explained and demonstrated so well that I know I will be able to replicate the meal. And she spiced it up a notch for my preference. The spices were so fresh, fragrant and flavorful my mouth is still delighting in the sensation. I enjoyed every minute—especially looking at their wedding album and enjoying an art show by Ravi’s artist father. High value. Modest price. Unforgettable experience. Ravi picked me up at my hotel and made sure the Uber driver got me back. 5 stars PLUS!

Great experience! We got picked up by Ravi and were warmly welcomed by his wife Suman in their home. We had an amazing cooking experience with Suman. After a masala chai and lovely chat with the grandfather we continued with the cooking of daal, two curries, chapati and pulao rice. They even provided us the recipes. We also got an interesting insight into their family and life, which we really appreciated! They made us feel very welcome all the time. We had an amazing evening and can highly recommend this cooking class!

We had such a lovely and interesting cooking class today! The food was absolutely delicious, and we really enjoyed chatting with the family. We learned to make dal fry, kadai paneer, a potato and green pea dish, pulao rice and chapati. Everything was so tasty, and the family was incredibly kind and welcoming.

This tour was wonderful. We got picked up promptly and the ride to our tour operators house was pleasent. We got picked up around 5:30 pm. When we got to their apartment, we were greeted warmly by his father. This tour gave me a great look at what a normal night looks like for a family of 6. The mother (I forgot her name) had many ingredients prepared before hand so there is no meal prep involved on the participants part. Basically she walks you through each step of each dish. We made four different main dishes and masala tea. It was really really fun. The hosts were super kind and answered all sorts of questions. We got done around 9:00 pm so overall the tour was about 3.5 hours which was perfect. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in learning how to make Indian food step by step. It is not directly hands on unless you ask to do so. For example, the mother was crushing up some herbs and i asked if I could try, so this would not have happened unless you ask to do so, right? They give a paper packet of all the recipes and ingredients and amounts too which was great.

A very nice family! The grandfather of the family picked me up from the hotel. He was very kind and in the rickshaw he told me about his family. I got a warm welcome at the house. The daughter-in-law showed me how to make chai and famous dishes like dal and chapati. Meanwhile, supervised by the grandparents of the house. The family was very interested in me and liked to teach me about themselves. After eating dinner, I was brought back by scooter. A fun adventure. It felt like having a second family in India :)

5 Stars - Excellent - Special Experience - you definitely should do this!! We really enjoyed the cooking class with Suman and Ravi and their Family. We generously got picked up by Ravi at our Hotel and he brought us to his Home where we received a heartly welcome ceremony by his wife Suman. After this we got to cook with Suman. First we had an authentic Masala Chai following by 3 types of Curry, rice and Chapati. Everything was super fresh and delicious. After the Dinner we even got a very interesting insight in their family and had a great talk. We appreciate this super nice experience and definitely recommend the cooking with Suman and Ravi.
