Learn how to cook delicious Sicilian specialties in a family atmosphere, a few steps from the beach and the sea, with a professional Chef.

We will make your holiday in Sicily unforgettable thanks to the flavors and aromas of our splendid land. You will taste a thousand of ingredients wisely mixed together so as to never create monotony and you will discover new flavors through rich dishes with a scent of sea, almond, ricotta or even oil, earth, life, of something good.

Discover Sicily in its unique flavors, from Pachino cherry tomatoes to the pistachio of Bronte, a town located at the base of Etna volcano. I will delight you with the taste of aubergines while you prepare a plate of pasta “alla norma”, and discover the flavors of our sea through fresh fish from the local market, and flavored with spices such as capers from the Aeolian Islands and olives born from the fertile volcanic land.

What To Expect

Meet up with the Chef Mimmo Siciliano in the historical center of Taormina and visit the local market. Taste various fresh vegetable products, cheese sold by local sellers. Choose the dishes you would like to cook with the Chef, based on the fresh and seasonal ingredients you will find at the market. Transfer to the Restaurant "Ahoy Bistrò Siciliano" in Giardini Naxos (included in the price), 15 minutes from the market, facing the sea and the Bay of Naxos and Taormina. Start your experience with a wine tasting with focaccia, cold cuts, and local Sicilian cheese. After wearing the apron, you will prepare 3 traditional Sicilian dishes: an appetizer, a fish dish and six different types of fresh pasta homemade by you. And then you will sit at the table to enjoy a real typical Sicilian lunch, a few meters from the beach and the sea, with a final tasting of small traditional Sicilian Cannoli accompanied by a glass of Limoncello. At the end of the experience, customers will be taken back to the meeting point.

Preparation of six different types of fresh pasta handmade by customers, under the supervision of the Chef, and seasoned with fresh tomato sauce;

    Wonderful experience with Chef Mimmo and his crew. After a trip to the market in Taormina, they took us in vans to Chef Mimmo’s restaurant on the sea where we made 3-4 delicious dishes. We dined family style on the patio by the sea. Everything was delicious and SO much food. A must do excursion if you’re in Taormina. Perfect for those who love to cook and those who are new to cooking (or just like eating delicious food).

    This is my second time doing this cooking class with Mimmo and his family, and absolutely loved it! Couldn’t recommend it enough, everyone we’ve told to come and take his class has also loved it. You feel like you’re cooking with family!! Delicious food and great company to cook with. We look forward to coming back to Taormina just for the class!

    This cooking class was a wonderful experience and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Taormina. You make fresh pasta, 2 sauces, caponata and a fish dish. All were so delicious. The view of the sea while cooking was a dream. Chef Mimmo and Chef Mamma were lovely and kind. I would definitely go back for more classes!

    Our cooking class with Chef Mimmo and his wonderful family team was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed into a warm and inviting atmosphere that made us feel like part of the family. The dishes we prepared were absolutely delicious, and everything was explained so clearly and with such passion that even beginners could follow along with ease. Chef Mimmo’s knowledge, charm, and humor made the experience both fun and educational. To top it all off, the class was accompanied by excellent local wine, which perfectly complemented the food and added to the relaxed, joyful vibe of the evening. Truly a fantastic experience and incredible value for money — we left with full stomachs, great memories, and new recipes to try at home. Highly recommended!
