This was a lot of history for one day. I enjoyed the people because they answered all of my questions and presented many facts I had forgotten or never learned. I and my fiancé were the only tourists to visit when we did so we were able to take all of the time we needed. The only wet part was coming back in the rain but it was a warm rain. While we were wet, the tour guides helped by turning on the heater and trying to get us drier. I really appreciated the tour guides and drivers and all who assisted with this tour. Lastly I would recommend this tour to anyone interested in little known world war 2 history. I also recommend the Bataan death march tour and American cemetery for more of a history lesson.

The tour was so informative. I was really moved by how beautiful all the monuments were made. Everyone needs to know about Corregidor because many Americans and Filipinos sacrificed their lives here. People should visit the Corregidor Island because it’s a part of our history.

What a wonderful place! My guide Edward (Eduardo) is an expert on everything that happened in Corregidor and World War Two in the Philippines. The tour does start very early and requires a long drive to the meeting point across Manila Bay from Corregidor Island. However I enjoyed the street activity we drove through in Manila City which was quite alive even at 5am! You then take a boat ride to the island which you pretty much have to yourself! I was the only tourist on the island! You get driven around the island on a bus which stops at numerous points of interest related to World War Two sites. You see barracks, a hospital, gun emplacements, a parade field, a movie theatre and all kinds of other things that a US military base would have. Everything is in various states of ruins, having been bombed first by the Japanese and later the Americans when they retook the Philippines with the Filipinos. The island is basically as it was after the war along with some memorials and a museum with wonderful photos and artifacts from the war. What a place, what a day, and I had the entire island to myself except for my guide, the bus driver, and a couple of others such as museum staff and coast guard officer. A long day but well worth it in my opinion.

The outrigger canoe trip is an adventure but the tour and the guide are phenomenal. Highly recommended trip. To see where and how the battle for Corregidor was fought was amazing. And again, our tour guide William was very knowledgeable and interesting.

Had a great day and tour! This was well worth the effort. It is a long day from Manila, but well worth it. Edward knows this history well and enjoys sharing his wealth of knowledge. He makes learning / remembering history interesting ... and does it with the proper respect for such a location as this. The remaining artifacts and the stories of those who gave all are indeed worth seeing and hearing about.
