  We had the best time on this tour. Jose was incredibly knowledgeable and took great care of the entire group. He was fantastic with our 3 kids and was able to meet everyone where they were. Would definitely recommend, this was an unforgettable day for our family!

  We had the BEST time doing this. We booked this on my husband's birthday for a good challenge. The altitude is no joke. I think 6-10 people stopped after 10 minutes...and that's ok! Make sure you are prepared for the increase in altitude. I hydrated and took some altitude meds the day before (I was coming from sea level). Jose was our guide, which we were lucky to have. He is so patient and funny. He gives you a lot of fun facts about Ecuador and Cotopaxi on the drive up. He even coordinated to have a cake brought out for my husband at lunch. He is a very thoughtful and warm person. We had a few stops to acclimate to the incline for 20-30 minutes and even stopped for a photo-op where there was a BEAUTIFUL, clear view of Cotopaxi. Two parts of mountain biking. First one is steep- so I waited for the second round where it flattens out, which is more manageable and enjoyable. The dirt road is bumpy from the car tracks so you have to have some experience (or feel comfortable) with biking on terrain other than a paved road. You get to bike alongside wild horses which was so amazing! Don't worry they are not aggressive, if anything they are more scared of you on the bike. I wouldn't say the lunch provided was the best- but I was there for the adventure which alone is well worth your time and money! • An Unforgettable Cotopaxi Adventure — Exceptional Guide Joselo and Driver Alex!

  We had an outstanding Cotopaxi adventure combining hiking and downhill biking, and a huge part of that was thanks to our guide, Joselo, and our driver, Alex. Joselo was knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely passionate about Ecuador’s landscapes, history, and culture. Throughout the hike, he shared fascinating information about Cotopaxi, local wildlife, geology, and the surrounding communities, making the experience far more meaningful than simply reaching a destination. He paced the hike perfectly, keeping everyone motivated while ensuring we had plenty of opportunities to enjoy the incredible scenery. After the hike, the downhill biking portion was an absolute blast. The route offered spectacular views of the volcano and páramo, and Joselo made sure everyone felt comfortable and safe while still having an exciting adventure. Alex deserves special recognition as well. Navigating the mountain roads is no small task, and he did so with skill, professionalism, and a great attitude. Knowing we were in capable hands allowed us to fully relax and enjoy the day. The combination of breathtaking landscapes, excellent organization, and the outstanding teamwork of Joselo and Alex made this one of the highlights of our trip to Ecuador. If you’re considering a Cotopaxi excursion, I highly recommend this experience—and if you’re lucky enough to have Joselo as your guide and Alex as your driver, you’re in for an unforgettable day.

  Lovely experience with Anthony and Rami. The sports activities went very well. The excursion and the bike descent through the valley were fantastic. Anthony shared a lot of very interesting information about Ecuador, Quito, the volcanoes, and the local culture. Everything was perfectly organized and it was very easy.

  The guide was friendly and spoke good English. However, I had serious issues during the tour. I was traveling alone and had only been in Quito for one day. The weather on the day of the tour was very bad, cloudy with poor visibility, extremely windy, and snowing. When I got off the bus to start the tour, the guide did not wait for me, and I practically climbed the entire route up to 4,800 meters alone. I became exhausted very easily, was short of breath every five steps, and had no idea whether I was close to the top or still far away, but I kept going and did not give up. When I finally reached the top, I spoke to the guide and asked where I could buy something hot to drink. I only took the time to buy a coca tea, and when I realized it, the guide had already gone back down the mountain without waiting again. At that point I was extremely tired, suffering from altitude sickness with a headache and nausea, and I still had to descend alone in those weather conditions. If an accident or emergency had happened there, who would have helped me? I honestly question what the guide’s role was. A guide should notice who is struggling more and provide assistance or at least stay present, try to keep the group closer together, wait until everyone reaches the top, and only then have the group descend together. There are real risks on this tour, especially with weather conditions like that and at such a high altitude of 4,800 meters. I even told him that I was not feeling well at the top, and shortly afterward he left me behind again to go down alone. Accidents and fatalities happen precisely in situations where people are left behind on the trail. I am not someone who usually leaves negative reviews, but I found this very unprofessional. The weather was so bad — snowing at the top and raining below — that nobody wanted to do the biking activity afterward. For anyone considering this tour, I would recommend going with smaller groups because this is less likely to happen. I do not recommend this company.

  The trip overall is good, weather condition was tough, windy and rainy, despite we made to viewpoint: Jose Rivas. I also got help when I hiked down, holding hand have me security :)
