We are located in the best area of the island, nearby renown spots like Blue Cave and Yonehara Palm Forest. There are some pottery ateliers, herbalists, famous cane juice stands, local restaurants within walking distance. We will provide you "Original Guide Map" of this bohemian area so that you can spend a memorable day. Everything is within walking distance. We are 5 minutes walk from the Blue Cave.

What To Expect

You will make your own original perfume with using various aromatic ingredients in an old Okinawan house setting. We have more than 150 materials, including our own extract from local plants. The fragrance you create will be reminding you of the memories of your trip. Perfect for a special occasions as honeymoon, or as a gift for someone you find important. It can be used not only as a fragrance for yourself, but also as car fragrance, or room spray, etc. I hope to offer you an enjoyable time when you have nothing to do in the bad weather. - Available reservation dates and times up to one month in advance will be displayed.

Excellent for teens and adults alike. We needed an indoor activity when the weather turned in Ishigaki and this was perfect. My 18 year old daughter especially loved it as did I.

So happy I found this activity online, what a very unique experience to have on our ‘sisters trip’!! Maki is very knowledgeable and does an excellent job at guiding you through the process of creating a personalized scent and is an incredibly lovely human being!! She also helped us plan the rest of the day on this beautiful part of the island! After our perfume making session in the morning, we had an amazing lunch at a nearby resort, toured the Palm Tree forest and museum, grabbed fresh juice at a local stand and walked to the beach and the Blue Cave before catching the bus back to town! I highly recommend this activity when you visit Ishagaki Island

Hidden gem of an educational tour in Ishigaki Okinawa-Japan. Maki Ueda is such a gracious hostess and superlative subject matter expert in the field of fragrances. We literally stumbled across this tour during a long stretch of inclimate weather plagueing Ishigaki (constant rain ) and Ueda - san's enthusiasm in sharing her love for this craft certainly brightened up a otherwise gloomy December afternoon. Thank you again Maki.

Talk about an educational tour. Maki Ueda was such a superlative hostess and her passion for her art and craft with fragrances really showed. A bit of a challenge in locating her workshop but this only added to the Ishigaki adventure. Highly recommend this tour.
