Simply put - one of, if not the, best day trips I've ever done on a holiday! Our guide and driver, George, was absolutely fantastic - very funny, interesting and an excellent driver with lots of info and facts about the places we stopped. He really looked after us! The olive oil grove and refinery was brilliant and very interesting, with excellent products, friendly staff and a beautiful breakfast where we got to taste a range of breads, cheeses, fruit and meat with olive oil, honey and grape syrup. We bought oil and grape syrup to take home with us as their prices were excellent and we felt like we really wanted to support their work. The vineyard visit was beautiful, in a stunning location with delicious wines described really well by the staff. The visit to the wine cellar was cool and a welcome break from the heat. The whole setup felt incredibly high-key and professional and the landscape around the vineyard is breathtaking. Our stop in the Raki distillery was a testament to the joy and passion a life lived doing what you love can bring - the owners were absolutely lovely, so passionate about what they do, and the Raki, particularly the lemon Raki, was delicious. The snacks they gave us whilst we drank were equally delicious! Our lunch stop in a small taverna was excellent - the taverna brings out to you what they prepared that day, with no menus, just a range of delicious, incredibly well-prepared Greek/Cretan dishes. The beef with orzo we had was particularly melt-in-the-mouth gorgeous - i would absolutely eat here again! Our final stop at a pottery studio was incredibly fun and interesting - we got to try the potters wheel, and were taken through the studio's process for making traditional Greek pottery of all shapes and sizes that is exported all over the world. The studio's shop was excellent with incredibly reasonable prices - we had to pick up a couple of pieces to take home! All in all just a fantastic day. Professionally led, very interesting, seeing some beautiful landscapes and being fed and watered with beautiful local food and drink throughout. The other couple in our group, (meaning there were 4 of us, plus George,) were also incredibly lovely and fun which, along with George's friendly and fun approach helped create a warm, easy-going and enjoyable atmosphere all day. I'd recommend this trip to anyone visiting Crete, especially if you're looking to explore fantastic quality local produce in beautiful locations and meeting lovely local people.

We just returned from enjoying several counties. When we stopped in Crete. our family of 6, a few teens included , had the priviledge of Adonis taking us personally on this tour. We had the most amazing day and enjoyed the local Olive Oil farm and more. An off the beaten tracks stop that made the day especially hearwarming as we learned about the locals of the villiage. The most gracious people and they offered personal touches with genuine warmth. Highly recommend this tour company.

Definitely one of the highlights of our visit to Greece! Antonis was a fantastic guide—incredibly knowledgeable and personable. We only had four people in our group, giving it an exclusive, semi-private feel. We visited Stilianou Winery, a small, family-owned organic winery, and the Politakis Olive Mill, which kept the experience intimate and away from the big tourist crowds. Both the wine and olive oil tastings and tours were enjoyable and interesting. Lunch at Moypnia, a small village restaurant with home-style Cretan dishes, was the perfect finish. Highly recommended!

George picked us up from out air B and B in the morning and was a pleasure right from the start. The olive oil tour was a great way to break our fast and start the day. The wine and raki tours were very informative and the wine was delicious. Make sure you try your hand at pottery (i was terrible, and always thought I'd be good at it) make sure you ask for george, he's personable and very knowledgeable about the history of crete, the making of wine, raki and pottery. ncre

Phenomenal experience visiting with expert craftspeople and sampling their amazing products. Everything was so authentic and real which made the tour worth the price and more. If you have George as your guide, you have won the lottery!

We enjoyed every minute of our tour. It's low season at the moment, which meant we were lucky enough to do it as a couple. Giorgios was a fantastic host and extremely knowledgeable about each of the places we visited. He also acted as translator in a couple of places and multitasked tour guiding and facilitating some of the activities. It was fascinating to learn about the processes and traditions of olive oil, wine, and raki manufacturing, and to meet and learn about the families who continue to keep these traditions alive. A personal highlight was visiting the pottery workshop and having a go on the wheel! Bring your appetite for this tour, you will be well fed! I am vegetarian and had lots of options. And it goes without saying that there will also be raki and wine aplenty (along with the opportunity to buy some souvenirs). You will be driving through a beautiful area of Crete on this tour. Giorgios offered to take photos for us along the way. The tour was great value for money - would recommend!

Wow! What a fabulous day!! From the first stop - the olive tasting to the beautiful organic winery and the delicious lunch, everyone had a great time. It was a small group - 5 of us traveling together. George was a knowledgeable and helpful guide. All of the food tastings at the olive oil factory, the winery and distillery were plentiful. Save your appetite for this trip!
