Welcome to Tahiti Safari Islander,
We will go to the heart of the island of Tahiti. You will be able to see beautiful mountains, waterfalls and natural pools.
You can enjoy a beautiful panorama while sitting in a new and comfortable 4x4 open to the sky and equipped with local music in the back. If the weather is nice we will go swimming in the natural pools and if it rains we will be able to appreciate the multitude of waterfalls. We are waiting for you to help you discover this Polynesian treasure.
BE CAREFUL the road is very uneven.
There are 37 km to cover in the mountains. The road is not cemented, not tarred. If you don't feel able to do it, please do another quieter excursion like the tour of the island of Tahiti

- napkins
- something to swim in
- mosquito repellent,
- Slippers, flip flops (no shoes)
- raincoats
For noon we will stop at a bakery to take food and drink. (Not included).

5.00Highly recommend this tour! Our guide, Manu, was great. He educated us on the local trees, animals and the general topography of the land. You will see some great waterfalls and traverse some rugged terrain as you climb the mountain. There is a restaurant in the middle of the tour that you can stop at for a drink and bite to eat. Manu brought us to a local grocery to buy lunch and we ate at the swimming point. BUT, Definitely bring bug spray and pack a poncho in case of rain. Otherwise, stand up in the back of the truck and enjoy the day!

1.00Viator failed to complete my refund request timely, and then when I followed up, they attempted to change their policy to reflect a greater timeline. This business is not honest and values sales over there customers and customers' expectations.

5.00It was rainy today which was an huge blessing!! Inside a dormant volcano, we slipped into the warm waters of that rain and dodged millions of mosquitoes bent on siphoning off every last drop of blood we had! We fed hungry black eels at a river deep in the middle of the island, picnicked with wild chickens in a green and gorgeous glade by the river, stood in the back of our 4x4 for over 6 hrs and bounced, bumped and laughed our way through this emerald beauty… crossing so many rivers and creeks that we lost count. At one point, we could count seven waterfalls plunging down the steep volcano walls in front of us; we stood in one, and it was absolutely glorious… and if not for the rain, we would never have seen this degree of wondrous waterfall beauty. The fog, peaks, landscapes and primordial beauty gave us Jurassic Park vibes all day! It was like a movie set! Our excursion was not at all for the faint of heart and our road was challenging and incredible with many a three point turn on muddy, lava-rocky, barely there trails. Less a road in spots and more a treacherous deer trail! Absolutely Spectacular tour in every way!!! Pure delight and adventure with so much laughter!
