Welcome to Tahiti Safari Islander,
We will go to the heart of the island of Tahiti. You will be able to see beautiful mountains, waterfalls and natural pools.
You can enjoy a beautiful panorama while sitting in a new and comfortable 4x4 open to the sky and equipped with local music in the back. If the weather is nice we will go swimming in the natural pools and if it rains we will be able to appreciate the multitude of waterfalls. We are waiting for you to help you discover this Polynesian treasure.
BE CAREFUL the road is very uneven.
There are 37 km to cover in the mountains. The road is not cemented, not tarred. If you don't feel able to do it, please do another quieter excursion like the tour of the island of Tahiti
To take :
- napkins
- something to swim in
- mosquito repellent,
- Slippers, flip flops (no shoes)
- raincoats
For noon we will stop at a bakery to take food and drink. (Not included).

3.00Very long day, which you stand on very bumpy roads. Communication and activity planning needs lot of improvement. First stop supermarket to buy you food. Next stop at 10.30am for 1hr for lunch and swimming. Too early for this activity, no toilets. After this just very brief stops for the whole day for photos, again no toilets at all. Once we came to the main road we didn’t stop to buy drinks or toilet. We drove back all the way on the highway at full speed with no opportunities to see the coast or stop to see the beautiful views. They need to supply bottled water. The mangoes and bananas they supplied were very nice.

5.00This tour was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The views were stunning, the ride was bumpy and fun, and we had such a blast while driving around. Vaitea provides information about Tahitian history and culture during the drive, which is a great addition. Was nice to see the sights and also learn about the island! Vaitea gave the tour in both English and French so it was very accommodating and accessible for all. Most importantly, although the roads are bumpy and sometimes small, we felt safe the entire time, as Vaitea is a great driver. They gave us fresh fruit and overall, took great care of us! A lot of fun was had.

5.00We booked this tour as a cruise port day excursion and had an amazing day. Pick up was across the road from cruise terminal. We stopped at a local market to purchase lunch items that were fresh and delicious. They also take card. With the top off the Ute we set out to beautiful scenery, wonderful adventures and loads of laughs. Stopped by the river for lunch and a swim before setting off again. The ride gets rough at times but the seats are very soft and comfortable if you don’t want to stand up. It can get rather rough especially on the way back but still a lot of fun.
