  Super nice driver and guide. Has repeatedly made stops for photography. Leadership was in English and easy to understand. There were three of them in the air-conditioned SUV with plenty of space. Everything worked out, we were picked up directly at the cruise ship and brought back again. A real alternative to the much more expensive boat trips.

  Elliot was a delightful tour guide… he spoke very good English… tailored our tour to our desires to swim in the warm Indian ocean and have nice walks on the beautiful sandy beaches. He helped us my man from a local source that is very fresh. And explained to us about the sixth of eight species of BAOBAB trees…. At one of the beaches we met his friend OREEGINAL…. A very engaging young man practicing his English and sharing about his kite surfing lessons… there was no wind when we were at the beach, so no chance to try it😢 all in all it was a wonderful trip… thank you so much Elliot❣️

  Danu and Natalie were great tour guides. Happy, youthful and energetic and helpful in showing us interesting aspects of the city. we truly had a great time with them . Highly recommended.

  We booked the tuk tuks. Either the tuk tuks don’t go to the red rocks or they skipped that for us. Granted we didn’t ask but just a heads up. The tour says fees are included but we had to pay 5 euro per person “to the government for safety.” The tour guide was nice and he switched back and forward between our two tuk tuks. If you are getting off the cruise ship there are a million tour guides so I would think you could find it a bit cheaper with the competition. I will say the guide who picked us up was very nice as we were a bit behind and she accommodated us.

  We are a couple and we stopped in Antsiranana on December 18th. We wanted to discover something natural and authentic, and this trip to the Tsingy Rouge far exceeded our expectations. From the beginning, we felt comfortable. The guide welcomed us warmly and the ride was quiet, with simple and interesting exchanges on the area. Arriving at the site, we were really impressed by the beauty of the Red Tsingy. Colours, silence and landscape give a unique, almost unreal feel. We took our time to walk, observe, take pictures and just enjoy the moment together. Nothing was in a hurry, everything was well paced, which is very appreciable during an excursion from a cruise ship. We returned to the port serenely, with beautiful memories and the feeling of having experienced something real. • Didn't take tour due to Tender Port weather. Ship cancelled the port last minute

  This is a tender port and our ship could not stop due to rough water and wind. It was announced at 7:30am that morning that we were not stopping and therefore we could not cancel earlier. Trip advisor has a cancelation policy of 24 (48?) hours prior. North Gascar company did refund 40% and we appreciated at least some of our money back but since it was not our fault it still seemed unfair. I suggest booking through ToursbyLocals.com for any tender port because they will do a full refund for weather related cancellations. This company can be found right at the port and you can book through them there. We did that the second time we stopped at the port but due to the car breaking down we never did get to Tsingy Rouge. Our money was returned once we finally got back to port. Before you leave for an excursion be sure that your driver speaks your language and the air conditioning in the car actually works. I asked for an English speaker and it wasn't until we left that we figured out he only spoke French. All in all the Tsingy rouge excursion was a disaster.

  The ride was very long and bumpy! Expect crazy, curvy, bad roads. But once you get there the views are amazing! We hiked down and we're able to take great pictures. On the way back to our cruise shop, our driver took us to a local market for a little shopping and got us a tuk tuk driver. He stayed with us and even followed us back to the cruise ship to make sure we got there safely and on time.

  This was not as advertised. Notice the picture? We didn’t see that. We saw a “sacred tree”, couple of lemurs in the trees and a very small waterfall. The car broke down 3 times and we had to walk about a mile to where the path for the waterfall started. They left our friends on the side of the road. Terrible tour. Don’t do it.
