HIGHLIGHT OF THE TRIP:
- We start a boat trip from Cat Ba island. It is more beautiful and more interesting than starting from Ha Long city.
In the trip, you can swimming, kayak and do the challenge trekking as rock climbing to a stiff rock mountain to have a panoramic view of Lan Ha bay.
- We will bring Kayaks with the boat, all food for 3 days, you can kayak whenever you want.
- We will sleep in 2 different areas for 2 nights. The place we anchor to spend overnight on the boat is a quiet lagoon. No boats around, nearby our boat.
- We will take you to wonderful areas where you have nice landscapes, real natural, clear water, secluded beaches, less touristy.
- Our local guide will help you to discover the bay.

Lan Ha Bay
We take small junk for easy cruising around the floating fishing village and leaving, arriving at the harbour, beaches and lagoons in the low tide or shallow water areas. After lunch, we will move to the sleeping boat Cat Ba Ventures around 13:45 pm (we change boats in the bay). Cruise around Lan Ha Bay. Visit amazing landscapes and a floating fishing village. We will visit amazing landscapes and floating fishing villages Swim on the bay (Snorkeling is optional) 12.30: Have lunch on the boat. Kayaking for 1.5 - 2 hours through the rock arch to hidden lagoons and tunnels to discover Bat cave and Dark Cave. Keep cruising to Ha Long Bay to sightseeing the most beautiful landscapes at less touristy areas. Enjoy the sunset on the bay. 7:00pm: Have dinner and overnight on the boat Optional: Squid fishing at night.

Viet Hai Village
After breakfast, we will move to a small boat to Viet Hai pier, Ride a bicycle 5km to pass the beautiful lagoon and the lovely cave, through the rice field and valleys to the village.
Cat Ba National Park
10:30am We will do 2-3 hours trekking through the rain forest and valleys. We will climb up to the top of the mountain of Navy Peak where you have a breathtaking views of Ha Long Bay, Cat Ba National park and Viet Hai Village. 1:30pm Have lunch at a local house with home cooked food then walk around and meet the friendly people who live within the National Park. Spend your time wandering around and have some chatting with local villagers.
Lan Ha Bay
2:30pm Ride bicycles pass to the dock then take a boat to visit another part of Lan Ha Bay and return to our sleeping boat. 7:00pm Have dinner, relax and spend another lovely night in the bay.

Tien Ong Cave
- After breakfast, we keep cruising to discover another side of Ha Long Bay and Cong Tau lagoon. You can enjoy the beauty of hundreds of limestone islands in less touristy areas. Visit Dau Be Island, then relax on a deserted beach. Kayaking to discover Ho Ba Ham (3 hidden lagoons). - After lunch we will cruise to another part of Lan Ha Bay. - Return to Cat Ba Town at 15.00 (You can catch the last bus or speed boat at 16h to go back to the mainland or stay another night in Cat Ba). From 1st May, 2026, we will finish the tour at 12pm.

5.00We booked a 3 day / 2 night trip to mainly deep water solo and do other activities. Our crew was amazing, especially our guide Ninh. Knowledgeable, friendly, and up for anything we wanted to do. I also have to give a shoutout to the cook. Our meals were INCREDIBLE.

5.00First time in a lifetime to be able to conquer the mountain and the sea. Mr. Tung and his team Mr. Tuân, Mr. Hien, and Mr. Hang are wonderful tour guides. Couldn’t ask for anything better. 10 stars for Cat Ba Ventures.

4.00Overall, we had a great experience with Cat Ba Ventures. The crew were excellent, and our guide, Ninh, was particularly fantastic. On the first night he helped us go squid fishing and shared some wonderful stories about the area and his previous experiences, which really added to the trip. He truly is an asset to your team and made the experience even more memorable. The three days two nights was definitely worth it. Our only criticism is the showers need renovations, it’s not matching the other great elements of the trip. The showers are so bad they let down the rest of the trip, fix them and make them modern and functional this will be a huge improvement. The other thing is there could be a really nice angle for the business to become more ecologically conscious by letting the tourists clean up the rubbish when they go kayaking, make this part of the trip. It makes us feel good and protects your beautiful surroundings for others to enjoy too.

5.00From first connection, all was great! Arrangements were easy. They picked us up at our home stay on Cat Ba, brought us to the delightful boat that felt “very authentic” but was comfortable. It is an old boat which might be described as “held together by paint” so don’t expect some glitzy, luxe experience. It all added to the charm. Lunch was fantastic; the chef prepared every meal, each of which had multiple courses, with care in his impossibly tiny kitchen. Food was definitely a highlight of this trip, as nearly everywhere in Vietnam. Our guide, Ninh, was a great facilitator of understanding of the area. And politics, economy, culture of Vietnam. We kayaked, swam, cycled, explored remote caves and beaches, saw skies full of stars. We hiked up to the top of Navy Peak: tough but totally worthwhile. Fished for squid, which we then ate. Beds were comfortable and rooms were cozy. We were two couples, in our sixties, had lots of laughs, really enjoyed our time. Book with these guys if you have a taste for something cool. You won’t regret it!

4.00It was a very well organised tour. The activities we did were great, especially the hike to the peak. The view was amazing. The boat was a little bit outdated and could do with a refit. The food on the boat was decent, but nothing special. We had 3 different guides during our tour (Ben, Jack and Tony), all of whom were very nice and spoke good English.

5.00We did a 2 day, one night cruise in the bays around Cat Ba. We went kayaking through caves to a beautiful lagoon and swam on a beach. Benmitto was our guide and had *lots* of interesting information. Not only about the nature, but also the history and culture. The boat was very comfortable. Booking and transportation were well organized, everyone spoke excellent English as well. The only thing that could have been better was the food. They ingredients were good, but it was made bland for tourists. Some people like that, but it would have been nice if there were one or two dishes made the traditional Vietnamese way with spices!
Highly recommended if you like to travel and also like to move

5.00It was a nice time with Daisy our guide and a relatively small colorful mixed group. We have seen, heard and tasted a lot. Daisy was funny, nice and very caring for all of us. We were always traveling in a different place, with boats, bicycle, on foot.., very varied! Daisy was a great help until the shot and even beyond. He helped us with the onward journey we were very happy about.

5.00Cat Ba Ventures were excellent! We were picked up in Hanoi and taken via the superb new gondola to Cat Ba where we enjoyed 3 wonderful days in the Ha Long Bay area. The boat was clean , the food was good and plentiful and we enjoyed the company of our guides. Ben has excellent English and even managed to find the Langur monkeys for us. Tony was also a good guide looking after us in the caves. Loved the trip! The transfer to our hotel in Haiphong was also very well organised
