Nao it’s an excellent guide and Driver. He gave us the best tour we have had on our Japan cruise. he’s a local from Nagasaki. A retired executive. He planned out an alternative tour from the typical bus tour. We went up into the countryside and visited a castle, hot Springs and had lunch at a small hotel restaurant in the mountains. Then we came back down to Nagasaki and went by the atomic bomb sites and visited an incredible Buddhist temple that had survived for 401 years on the other side of the mountain where the bomb detonated. He was prompt. Picked us up on time and got us back to the ship. with time to spare? His English was very good. That is the one problem we’ve had in Japan and Korea with some of the tour guides. You get about half of what they’re trying to say. He also took pictures with his camera of us and sent them to us by text. He has a nice car and could easily fit three people.

Our guide was fantastic. He gave us the best experience we have had in Japan. He speaks fluent English, drives a very comfortable car and is very knowledgeable of the area’s history, patient, enthusiastic, and he knows the best secret places and easier less crowded access than the average Tour Guide. Plus, he is just a charming person to be with.

Nao was a kick. A Japanese man who grew up on Sao Paolo, Brazil. He was a sweetheart and an excellent tour guide who really knew Nagasaki. We enjoyed our time with him, esp. the conveyor belt sushi place he took us to which was not to be believed.

I joined with my friend from Australia. It was such an unforgettable, super fun day! Even though I’m from Nagasaki, I realized there are still so many cool spots and cultural things I didn’t know about. Nao’s tour honestly felt like just hanging out in town with an old friend. Huge thanks to him for being so kind and awesome!
