We’ll begin with a scenic drive along Da Nang coast, passing beautiful beaches and enjoying panoramic views from suspension bridges overlooking the Han River and Da Nang city, including the iconic Dragon Bridge & Love Bridge.
Next, we’ll journey along the legendary Hai Van Pass, Vietnam's special coastal road, featured on BBC’s Top Gear. Experience winding roads, breathtaking views of the old Leprosy Colony, lush mountains, and the serene Lang Co Bay view from the train track.
We then explore Lap An Lagoon, capture photos of oyster farms and houses on stilts. Afterward, we return to Hai Van for different perspectives of Da Nang and admire the views of this beautiful city before dropping off.

What To Expect
Hai Van Pass
From your hotel in Hoi An or Da Nang, local tour guide and driver will take you on a beautiful coastal drive to Hai Van pass, the most scenic coastal road in Vietnam, featured in BBC’s Top Gear show as a must-see when traveling to Da Nang. Winding mountain roads invite travelers to experience hairpin turns and take in the breathtaking views of mountain ranges with white sand beaches and Lang Co bay underneath. This army strategic location creates a unique impression that cannot be found anywhere else in Vietnam. We will make a plenty of stops on the way for taking amazing photos.
Lang Co
This trip cannot be perfect without a stop-over at Lang Co Bay, which lies between Danang and Hue cities on the central coast to capture some nice photos and seeing the mountain train. Long white-sand beach with blue seawater of Lang Co may capture every visitor’s heart at first sight.

5.00We were not interested in going all the way to Hue so this was a good option to see Hai Van pass and the surrounding area. It also provides more insight than you would get if you were simply passing through by train.

5.00We had a fantastic tour with Chicky. He was an excellent guide, with an incredible breadth of information on all things Vietnam. The scenery was stunning and, as we traversed Hai Van Pass, it truly felt like we were amongst the clouds. Highly recommend this tour!

5.00It was an AWESOME experience. We were very blessed with John as our guide. He is very articulate in English. Not only the tour was v informative, he was also very good in taking photos and making sure that all our needs were met. Touring the hai van pass in the jeep was a memorable experience & the view is breathtaking. I would highly recomend this tour especially with John as the guide.

5.00Met by courteous host Lahn and a driver on time. Journey to the Jeep was informative as we went, all questions answered and very good English.x Once into the Jeep a 1975 Old style military vehicle we won our way up the pass, no windows on the Jeep so perfect views and feeling of the road which gave the authentic good ride feeling. Wind in our hair we went up the winding road with fantastic views every way you looked. Plenty of photo opportunities offered. Once at the top a chance to understand the history of the pass then a wonderful descent down along the shoreline passing the pearl farms. More scenic pictures and the chance to see pearl production information before heading back home. Overall great tour with an excellent guide....would do it again.

5.00We had a terrific tour of the Hai Van Pass. We were picked up from our hotel in Hoi An by our tour guide Pang for the journey to the most spectacular stretch of winding road . The road overlooked the bay on one side and beautiful greenery of the mountains on the other. We were treated to a visit to an oyster farm at the Blue Lagoon . We saw how a family farmed for oysters . From there we drove to Lang Co Bay to see the most tranquil waters with the mountains as a stunning backdrop. I would highly recommend Local Buddy Tours . Pang was so knowledgeable and friendly and shared so much of his experiences with us . We are also grateful to our driver who drove so safely and professionally .

5.00Local Buddy Tours led by Mr Thanh really delivered above expectations. We started with only a day tour but because Mr Thanh was (not pushy but) extremely helpful (eg suggesting places etc but never was to sell his own tour) and professional, we decided to block a few 4 day tour programme with him. We gave him some thoughts about where we were interested and he/and his team built an entire itenary for us in Danang. To top it off, Local Buddy Tours works with the underprivileged and we were very happy to spend a day making coffee and later at a local cafe run in support of those with more needs than us. To top it off, very fairly priced, guides are great (English speaking) and even our driver was super accommodating. We will definitely tour with Mr Thanh, Mr Ben and Ms Carol again!
