It was interesting to learn about the distilling process and we loved getting to try the whiskies paired with chocolates.

We booked this distillery tour last minute whilst staying near Aviemore. We've driven past Dalwhinnie lots of times, but this occasion decided to head to it specifically. It was odd to see so many different whiskys on sale, but this didn't detract from the tour. Unlike other distillery tours, there were three to taste at the end, alongside some very posh chocolates - a first for us. Ethan, our guide, was very personable and knowledgeable about both Dalwhinnie distillery, and whisky in general. His tasting hosting was first class and there was no snobbery of any particular sniffing or tasting techniques, which we've experienced at other distilleries in the past. We did buy both whisky and the exceptional chocolates which compliant the whisky. Thank you all.
