Depart Addis Ababa early in the morning by flight or road transfer (depending on your plan). Arrive in Semera, the gateway to the Danakil region. Drive to Hamedela, passing through arid landscapes and small Afar villages. Orientation and briefing with your guide about safety and the upcoming expedition. Overnight stay in Hamedela (camp or simple local accommodation).

5.00I attended a five days conference with my colleagues at the “Political Capital of Africa”, Addis Ababa Ethiopia. Gize tours arranged an Uber us to go to the market. There, we got assistance with translation to the local language which made our shopping even simpler. I highly recommend Gize tours.
