4.00Massive Abbey on top of a hill overseeing all of it's vineyards and little parishes. Surprised they are filling in some windows and painting fake windows instead of refurbishing. Half of the Abbey is closed off to protect the privacy of the Monks and the winery. The wine was ok.

5.00Wow! What a day!! Beauty everywhere you look!! Our tour guide Robert was beyond expectations!! A wealth of knowledge and passion about his homeland!! 5.00We booked the private Danube Valley tour. Our guide, Michael, was knowledgeable, professional and provided historical facts for the towns we visited along the way to Melk Abbey. We had a great time and definitely recommend this tour.

5.00We booked a private tour of the city for one day and another full day to see Danube Valley and river cruise. The city and Danube are musts to see when you are in Vienna but what made the experience memorable was our guide Michael. Michael spoke great English, was very knowlegable about historical facts and even helped us find something we forgot from home. Michael even gave us great tips on restaurant choices. Do not hesitate to book a private tour with this company and ask for Michael!!

5.00We were a family group of three generations and had a wonderful day! Michael our tour guide was informative and we enjoyed our stop at Durnstein. We then had a lovely lunch aboard the Danube River cruise boat, with reserved tables, and an easy trip to the Melk Abbey and private tour. Overall, it was an outstanding trip.

5.00We did 4 different excursions over a 3-week period with Vienna a la Carte and loved them all. On this trip we had the excellent guide, and retired vascular surgeon, Michael who not only adapted the itinerary to our needs and timing, but also provided tremendous information about not only the attractions along the way but the history behind them.
