Capitan Jason and First Mate Roland were exceptional. They pointed out landmarks and allowed us to decide where we wanted to stop to swim. The snorkeling was good, the boat was clean and large enough for our party of 6.

We were a party of 3 . We were picked up from the dock at our hotel and then had a fast run towards the south of the island where we had a very good snorkelling experience. Jason are Robert were considerate and did everything necessary to meet our expectations . The boat ( Blue Boy ) is comfortable and we have been fishing on this beach before which was also a great day on the water . We will certainly be using Hackshaws again next year .

Overall a great experience. The only bad experience was one of the snorkel stops the locals came out in canoe and tried selling local items, including drugs. The employees of the ship did nothing to prevent the behavior and actually gave the locals beer from the ship. It was a very uncoftorable situation. Beware do not touch their canoe or goods or they will demand payment. They will try and give you a ropw or grab their canoe in the while you are in the water. Just say no. repeatedly.....

I have to say...we weren't going to do an excursion in St. Lucia and I happened upon Hackshaw on facebook and showed my husband and we were both like...let's do it. It was the MOST AMAZING experience. We took our 14 year old daughter and 12 year old son along with us. The small intimate group, the amazing snorkeling, the fantastic crew and the want to give us the best time.....it was amazing!! We will definitely book again when we are back there.

Wanted to check out the Pitons and we do like snorkeling, this was the trip for us. Some of our table mates on the cruise said they took a van to the Pitons and thought they were going to die on the windy roads. We made a good choice. Jade was a great guide and Antoine drove well. We made two snorkel stops and one was at the foot of the Pitons -- awesome location and lots of fish. The pickup point was a little wonky. If you are on the commercial side of the bay, don't go through the turnstile. We made that mistake and it took Hackshaw a little while to find us. Stay in the secure area and they will pick you up between the cruise ship and the market. Other than that, great trip - lots of rum punch and we took lots of great pictures

The boat trip and snorkeling experience was great - the water was beautiful, the tour on the boat was great, and the views of the mountains were awesome. My issues came with the inconsistent service we got from the crew. First, the crew was about 45 minutes late to pick us up from our cruise port. They said, "they went to the the wrong cruise port". The crew was friendly once we got going, but what we did not appreciate was the second snorkeling stop that we had when two locals paddled out on kayaks to our boat. These locals were very aggressive in trying to sell their local goods, which we were not interested in - they did not take "no" for an answer lightly, but eventually they stopped asking and allowed us to snorkel. We were very hesitant to get off the boat with these two locals hanging on/around our boat (as our bags were still on there). As we started to snorkel, these 2 locals offered to allow us to hang on to the back of their kayak to avoid the current. When we returned back to the boat, the locals were even more aggressive in asking/demanding a tip. My husband tipped one of the kayakers, but he asked for more. The other kayaker begin to get involved and asked for a tip / a bigger tip. The boat crew did not interfere even though was very evident that both myself and my husband were uncomfortable with the tone these two men were speaking to us in. In hesitation and fear, my husband ended up giving these men $40 for allowing us to hold on to their kayak for less than 5 minutes - these men were starting to get into my husbands face and becoming very loud, it was very unnerving. At that point, we were so uncomfortable that we were just ready to get off the boat. We did not appreciate that the crew allowed this to happen and did nothing to stop this.

This was the second time we have gone snorkeling at Sugar Beach, between the Pitons, and at the Bay of Pigs. The first time we went was with a different tour company in 2016 and the experience this time was much better than the time before. We were on a great boat that got us to the spots we snorkled in very quickly, maximizing our time in the water. The boat crew offered plenty of drinks on the cruise (primarily rum punch, Piton beer, and water) and highlighted some of the more famous spots along the way, including some areas where Pirates of the Caribbean and the original Dr. Doolittle were filmed, a bat cave, and some of the more prominent resorts along the way, including Jade Mountain. The only thing that could have made this snorkeling trip better would be if we would have seen a sea turtle, as some others have said they've done snorkeling in St. Lucia. We're now 0-for-2 in sea turtle spotting so maybe the 3rd time will be the charm whenever we get back to St. Lucia again.

Really enjoyed this trip. The snorkelling was excellent at two marine reserves with plenty of diverse fish to see. Both Jason and Jake we went out with were excellent hosts and supported my family member on and off the boat as they struggled with some mobility issues. The first stop at sugar beach. It is s stoney start from beach to sea I had aqua shoes so it was no problem. Great variety of fish and plentiful to see. Same for the second stop where you needed to jump off the side of the boat. I am not confident with this, there is s ladder at the back that can be used or I sat on the edge and dropped down to the sea. I would do this tour again. The speed boat engines are quite noisy so be prepared or bring some ear plugs or sit at front of boat. St Lucia has an amazing and beautiful coastline.

First snorkeling area was terrible. Very difficult to walk into the area from beach, very rocky and some people had very difficult time getting in and out. No snacks were provided that we remember. Would not recommend.
