We very much enjoyed our Day Tour with Jessice and Eon. Their insights into the long and bumpy road toward true emancipation were fascinating. We visited several sites in Georgetown and out of town (the origianl ex-slave communities). We also stopped at an open air market to check out the fruits and vegetables, had a refreshing drink of fresh cane juice and visited Mama Fifee's Herbal Clinic, where we bough a poultice that really helped my husband with a foot injury. To top it off, we had a delicious lunch made by Eon with typical ingredients favored by the ex-slaves.

Our day tour of Georgetown was a unique experience! In addition to their great warmth and fabulous humor, the tour guides Jessica and Eon have a fascinating historical knowledge that they have acquired during many years of research. Visiting extraordinary places, we learned a lot about colonial history and slavery and also immersed ourselves in Guyana's multifaceted and colorful culture. Thank you for the unforgettable day, the breathtakingly delicious dinner and all the warm hospitality!
