The Tour was delightful and the tours very well done. Tomas was a delight at the Caves wine education. Learned many tips about wine. Ingrid was a great tour guide. Loved her antidotes regarding the royals and the personalized treatment received.

This experience made me want to learn more French history. Ingrid's explanation of the French monarchy and the history of the chateaux were fascinating, and at times humorous. She highlighted the most interesting aspects of each château while also giving us a primer on French history and the monarchy. We had a little free time to explore each of the chateaux and the gardens on our own. The time in the caves was also an educational experience. We learned (and tasted) so much about the wines of the Loire Valley.

Our driver / guide by the name of Roxanne was not a pleasant person to be around. She was rude from the start to us as well as being rude to other people enquiring about their tours. While her knowledge was sound , instead of informing us it was like we were being interrogated about the information she gave. She obviously didn’t want to be working on the day as she informed us that she was filling in for a friend who was sick. We came away from this experience totally disappointed with TripAdvisor & will be very reluctant to use them in the future .

The itinerary was wonderful. Our guide not so much. She was unwelcoming, crude, and not terribly knowledgeable. The wine tour was a real highlight. The guide was everything she was not

The Chateaux are amazing to see and quite different from each other. Our guide/driver didn’t use any amplification/microphone in the van so if you were sitting in the back you missed a lot of what she said. This was exacerbated by the fact that she didn’t turn off the radio. We haven’t had this issue in previous tours with mini vans of the same size. As a result, she shared little information while driving which was disappointing and a lost opportunity. A highlight was the wine tasting. The sommelier was fantastic and shared great information.

Despite some delays we got to visit everything on the itinerary and had a lot of fun trivia from our guide Marie. The day was sunny for the most part which helped. She knew where to take us to get good shots too. The wine tasting was unexpectedly bigger in tastings and that resulted in a fun experience with my group.

Roxanne, spoke fluid English, was very knowledgeable and lots of fun. We felt as if she was one of us and not the tour guide. It was a wonderful tour!!!!

It was too much crammed into one day. Maybe one chateau and a wine tasting would have allowed more time to really explore the chateau both with our wonderful guide, Ingrid, and also some time to explore the grounds on our own.

We had the most wonderful fun filled day with Ingrid and a fabulous family from the US who were also on our trip. Our first stop off was Chenonceau, which was just magnificent. Ingrid brought to life the history of the chateau and the men and women who fought and lusted over it. We got a huge dose of French history and some fascinating stories from Ingrid throughout the tour. The next stop was the winery and the caves for a wine tasting experience, enhanced by Francesco’s expertise, which was followed by a lovely lunch with our new friends. After lunch we headed to the next chateau, Chambord, which was even larger than the first. Again, Ingrid brought the history to life with her fabulous commentary, and fun facts. We finally refined to Amboise, with lots of restaurant recommendations, and the all important directions to the laundromat! Thanks Ingrid, you’re a lifesaver. Wish we had more tours with Ingrid but we will be off to Paris soon for other adventures. We had such a great time we are also hoping to stay in touch with our fellow tourers from the US😜
