What To Expect
Hell's Gate National Park
Your day starts very early in the morning after you have taken your breakfast.You will depart from Nairobi to Naivasha and on the way you will have a stop over at The Great Riftvalley escarpment. It was formed through faulting, which invloves the displacements of earth crust leading to sinking of the land between them. You will have a photo stop, for those who love photogarphy. There is also a souvenir shop where you can purcahse souvenirs. You can also purchase breakfast there by any chance you forgot to take it before departure. You will contine with your drive and arrive in Hell's Gate. You will register at the entrance and start with your bike drive. Activities happening in Hell's Gate are, bike riding, rock climbing at the Fischer's tower, watching wildlife, walking through the gorges and photography. After the bike ride, you will visit a restaurant near the park to take your lunch. Laer you will depart for a boat ride in Lake Naivasha.
Lake Naivasha
After the bike ride in Hell's Gate and lunch, you will go to Lake Niavasha for the boat ride. The boat ride takes 1 hour where you can watch the marine life like hippos and wildlife like waterbulk and antelopes. You will watch the Crescent Island by boat and also the wild animals that are found there. After the boat ride, you will depart from Naivasha and head back to Nairobi. You will be dropped off at your hotel.

5.00Perfect Organisation. We started on Time in the Morning from Nairobi to Hell‘s Gate. The bike Tour was awesome - spotting lots of animals in the park. Also on the boat we were able to check on the Hippos in Lake Naivasha.
Well worth the tired legs.

5.00I had a last minute opening in my schedule and managed to book this trip at night for the very next morning. Erick contacted me immediately and showed up on time. The day was incredible- we stopped along the way for gorgeous views of the valley, we went to Hell's Gate where a bike guide named David took me through Hell's Gate which was awesome. We did a bike ride in, a short hike then biked back. Gorgeous views. Then on to Lake Naivasha and a boat ride to see the hippos (you CAN pay extra to walk on Crescent Island but I didnt know that- will do that next time!). Honestly everyone was great- it was a perfect day trip and I couldn't be happier with my guide Erick!!

4.00The bike ride into Hell's Gate, although quite tough in places was memorable. Saw some wildlife along the way. Zebra, giraffe and Buffalo mainly. Eric my driver was very pleasant and accommodating. You should be aware however, the cycle hire is $8, entrance to Hells Gate was $20, and the boat ride costs $40. The drive from Nairobi took around two hours.

5.00It was a great experience! Both guides were friendly, professional, knowledgeable and kind. The bike ride was unlike any safari experience I have ever had. I saw warthogs, zebra, gazelles, all sorts of monkeys and 1 super curious giraffe. I also learned a lot about Kenyan history from the guides. Do be sure to read carefully what is and isnt included as you will need to bring cash to pay for the bike hireand boat, and a credit card or mpesa for entry to Hell's Gate, plus cash tips. I was able to pay for lunch with a credit card. And there is (surprise!) A Maasai market near the gorges, so be sure to bring a bit of cash for snacks or gifts. Entirely recommend!

5.00Cycling through Hells gate was such an enjoyable experience and to do it so close to the zebras was something. The boat ride on Lake Naivasha was calming and scenic and we enjoyed walking alongside animals on crescent island. Erick was great and made it enjoyable
