Forget safari vans, this is hiking, biking, & raw Kenyan adventure.
This is Hells Gate National park! My guides know the park inside-out; we find the hidden magic others miss. Feel the thrill of hiking through the volcanic Ol Njorowa Gorge, steam swirling around you. Optional: For the adrenaline junkies among us, Fischer's Tower awaits. With safety gear and a whole lot of determination, we'll conquer this iconic rock formation. (Extra fee)
Sense the rush of wind in your hair as you cycle back alongside zebras and gazelles. As the sun dips below the horizon, you can choose to extend your adventure and spend the night at Fisherman's Campsite right at Lake Naivasha. No hotel beats bonfires and hippos calling under a sky full of stars. Tents up, campfire crackling – this is classic African wilderness at its best. Away from city lights, the Milky Way stretches out like a diamond-studded blanket.
An unforgettable day for adventure seekers and outdoor lovers!

10/10 experience from start to end. Louisa and Eric provide an experience which is unforgettable and feels like having a trip with your friends. It‘s a no brainer to go with them - experience and pricewise there is nothing comparable.

I normally never write a review but I have to make an exception here; Eric and Louisa are the best guides you can ask for. They become your friend rather than you being just a client and they will plan the perfect itinerary for you according to your likes. Though I got in touch last minute, Eric and Louisa ensured that I had the most amazing weekend in Kenia with a fully packed action plan; with a boat on Lake Naivasha, a walking safari on Crescent Island, a bike ride through Hell’s gate and a hike in the famous Lion King gorge (day 1), hiking up Mt Longonot and even a horsewalk through the savanna (day 2). All with a private guide, the best tunes in their 4x4, a beautiful stay alongside the lake, and the most beautiful animal spotting throughout!

This was a great tour - we had booked last minute, but Eric made sure to take care of all the details. Climbing, biking, hiking - we did it all, and had a nice picnic lunch in the middle of all the action. Nelson, the climbing guide knows his stuff, and took really good care of my family, making some good decisions on appropriate levels of climbs, encouraging and helping when needed.

When we booked this tour with Daring Escapes and that we wanted to spend even more days around Naivasha, Louisa and Eric made a nice three-day program for us. The first day we sailed canoe, the second day to Hells gate and the last day a boat trip on the lake and a visit to Crescent Island. We camped at Fisherman's Camp, located on the lake, where we had daily visits from hippos. There is an electric fence so no safety concerns. Eric and Louisa have provided us the whole trip with transport and very varied and tasty food. The booking process went smoothly with a good understanding of the various costs and all for a reasonable price. Many thanks!

Eric is such an amazing guide! He took such good care of and showed us so much of authentic Kenyan culture. He is thoughtful, fun, and attuned. We even got to meet his parents! I really value learning about the local culture and seeing authentic local life as a tourist. Eric, having grown up in Naivasha, was the key to that experience. I was able to see so much that other tourists who value luxury over adventure do not. I highly recommend this business if you value seeing and learning more about local culture and are up for a little more adventure!

We had a really exceptional tour with Daring Escapes. Thanks to the excellent guidance of the team we were able to spot lots of different animals in a unique setting and from a close distance. Riding a bicycle and watching zebras, giraffes, antelopes, buffalos and eagles gliding around the rocks was an experience I will never forget. Robert, our guide knew the park inside-out and made our little adventure into the wild super interesting as we learnt a lot of fascinating facts about the local flora and fauna. Make sure not to miss the boat ride on Lake Naivasha, it’s super fun and we got to see many hippos! Our journey was very comfortable and safe, Simon, our driver explained everything that we were doing for the day and was very informative about the areas we drove through, not to mention his great personality! The communication with Eric prior to the trip was great and professional, he took care of all our requests so that everything went super smoothly. After Hell’s Gate we chose to do a camping tour to the Aberdares - what a hidden gem! We got to see many elephants and even their babies and we were stunned by the beauty of the untouched nature. All in all a fantastic trip from the beginning to the end, Daring Escapes made our first days in Kenya a really special and memorable experience!
