What To Expect

After only approx. 45-55 minutes of navigation, Santa Fe Island will be reached, one of the best snorkel spots in Galapagos. This very calm bay with crystal clear, turquoise water (like a natural swimming pool) is the perfect place to swim with sea lions; the younger, more playful ones love to get into the water with the snorkelers, twirling and chasing around - an absolutely unique experience! Besides the sea lions, the underwater world has a lot more to offer: Sea turtles, sharks, lots of tropical fish, eagle rays and more. There are also many birds that can be observed; blue-footed boobies, frigate birds, mockingbirs and if lucky even the Galapagos hawk. The landscape is stunningly beautiful, the contrast of the the turquoise water against the dark lava rocks, the cacti as well as the white sand beach full of sea lions. After a freshly prepared lunch, there will be a disembarkation on the remote Hidden Beach, a magnificent white sand beach. You can either just relax on the beach, go for a swim or do a discovery walk with the guide, to find big marine iguanas, pelicans and mangroves. There will also be the opportunity to do some fishing from the boat on the way back.

My wife and I loved the snorkeling—especially in hidden bay. It was fabulous! Sergio was an awesome guide! Crew was nice. Lunch was good. It was a full day of snorkeling which is what we wanted. Sea lions, colorful fish, boobies, and more.

Had an incredible experience. The crew was amazing. Lunch was yummy and we got to see turtles. Lots of sea lions and baby sea lions, we saw two reef tip sharks. Lots of colorful fish, but truly wonderful day!

Santa Fe beautiful: we made the Bathing with sea lions and turtles, the Boat was very nice and we were offered lunch and various snacks! Everyone well organized! We even went on a fishing trip! If you have to organize several days the individual activities in Galapagos rely on them: always present in our movements and ready to answer any doubt!

This tour was incredible and such an amazing experience snorkelling with sealions and seeing the amazing underwater world of the Galapagos. As a company, Guiding Galapagos is one of the best I’ve ever worked with. Their equipment is top quality, such as scuba pro and O,Neil wetsuits and the boat and tour guides were of the highest quality. As a company they organised our whole honeymoon and were fantastic every step of the way. They could not do enough for us and made the whole experience unforgettable. I would recommend this tour but also any of the other tours they have to offer. Ben and Emily

Guiding Galapagos did an excellent job of organizing our 11 day tour and were very flexible in terms of arranging the various tours and ferries. We were a family of 5 and we had an amazing time thanks to the team of Felipe & Omar who were guiding us along the whole trip and ensured nothing went wrong. They were both very responsive and Stephanie did a great job organizing the whole trip. A big thanks to the Guiding Galapagos team!!!

Guiding Galapagos gave us an incredible trip. The crew on board was amazing. We snorkeled three different locations and saw so many different types of fish. I don’t know the names, sorry! Leo guided us around each place we went, pointing out the different typed. I know I saw sea lions, a Galapagos shark (several), eels, stingrays, starfish are the ones that I can name. On the return they caught a fish, wahoo, but aI don’t know the spelling. Luis, Miguel, Manuel and Leo were super friendly and accommodating. Miguel made fresh sushi and dipping sauce with the fish. It was an amazing trip! Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed this boat tour to Santa Fe Island. We got to see a lot of different tropical fish, turtles, small sharks, sealions and stingrays. The crew onboard was amazing and the lunch was very good. We would really recommend going on this tour.

Suzie, our Naturalist guide, was amazing. Wow! Snorkeling was spectacular with so many different colorful school’s of fish and starfish. Also got to snorkel with reef sharks and sea lions. Fresh caught tuna ceviche for lunch to end the day. Special thanks to Daniel who set this tour up for me.
