It is covered by ashes from the longonot eruption which occurred 100 years ago, the park is famous for its geothermal station, Lower Gorge, and spectacular scenaries (cliffs, volcanoes gorges, geothermal steam).

5.00I honestly didn’t expect the Day Trip Hell’s Gate Bike Ride and Lake Naivasha Boat Ride to be this enjoyable. Riding a bicycle inside a national park alongside zebras, gazelles, and giraffes felt surreal. The route was scenic and manageable, even for someone who doesn’t cycle often. Matthew, our guide was friendly and shared interesting facts about the park’s geology and wildlife. After lunch, the Lake Naivasha Boat Ride was relaxing and scenic. We spotted hippos, fish eagles, and other birds at close range. The boat captain knew exactly where to go for the best views. The whole day felt well-paced, never rushed, and very satisfying. It’s an excellent option for travelers who want something different from a typical safari.

5.00This was one of the most refreshing experiences I’ve had in Kenya. Cycling through Hell’s Gate National Park was pure freedom—no rush, just open landscapes, wildlife grazing nearby, and dramatic cliffs surrounding us. The bikes were well maintained, and the guide kept a comfortable pace for everyone. After the ride, the Lake Naivasha Boat Ride was the perfect contrast. Calm waters, hippos peeking out, and countless birds made it incredibly peaceful. The transition from active adventure to relaxed sightseeing was well thought out. Everything was well organized from start to finish, making the day flow smoothly. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves nature, light adventure, and memorable outdoor experiences.
