Harry was a terrific guide who was very knowledgeable about the sites we visited! We loved the temple. Had a delicious lunch at the market. Then explored the gates! Such a fun day. Highly recommends this tour to anyone short on time but wanting to see a little bit of Kyoto. The bullet train made it very doable in a day from Tokyo . This family with older young adult children had such a great day that was far beyond our expectation.

Kishy was a very pleasant guide who assisted us in finding our way through Shinagawa Station to our bullet train to Kyoto, which was a great way to travel. Upon arriving in Kyoto we were driven to the various sites we had chosen to visit in and around the city. There was a great deal of walking at each place we went, some on very uneven surfaces so that should be kept in mind. We enjoyed a delicious traditional Japanese lunch at a little restaurant in the city that Kishy recommended before our return trip to Tokyo. It was an interesting, if tiring, day and we were glad we went.

We had a great Shinkansen trip to Kyoto with Matt. It was well-planned, fun and educational. He met us at our hotel and handled all the logistics. It was more than just a photo opportunity at the major attractions. Matt gave us great insights into the history, culture and religion of the places we were seeing. He found us a great lunch spot, gave us shopping tips and customized the tour to our interests. A great day of touring.

Our tour guide from" My travel consulting" was Chiaki she collected us from our hotel as we set off to Kyoto from Tokyo via bullet train was amazing, Chiaki was the best. She had a deep understanding of the history of the area, which made the experience come alive. The way she presented the places she took us, and in the order she presented them, gave us a real appreciation of Kyoto Not having to deal with or wait for strangers in a larger group also made the experience more personal. Thank you Chiaki your time was appreciated.

Great day trip. Yoshio was a great guide and very knowledgeable about the history of Japan. He explained the difference between the shrines and the temples. He was good at talking to the locals and sharing the experience. We would highly recommend him because of his personality and experience.

Excellent trip to Kyoto. We were greeted by a nice Japanese tour leader at our New Otani hotel lobby, Yutaka. He was so polite and kind and led us to the train station after outlining our plan for the day. Yutaka navigated us through the Japanese train network to our final Kyoto destination. We had an exciting day experiencing a lot of hiking viewing the shrines and temples and the majestic bamboo forest. It was a thrilling experience. Mr Yutaka provided caring service to our hotel, after our a full and enriching Kyoto experience.

Enjoyed this trip and the caring tour guide Yutaka. We travelled by complex train network from our hotel New Otani to Kyoto made easy by Yutaka. From meeting us at our hotel to embark on our all day adventure to delivering us back to our hotel at the end of the day, it was a stimulating travel experience thanks to Yutaka. This was a memorable walking tour which included the temples and shrines and bamboo forest.it was a full day for us. This was what we wanted. We now want to see more Kyoto.
