To visit the city of Kruja is a "MUST" for everyone who is going to vist Albania. Kruja is one of the most important cities of Albania, mostly known to be the hometown of George Kastriota Skanderbeg, the greatest Albanian hero of all the times. Yes, Albania's national hero house, and although it was over 500 years ago, there's still a great deal of pride in the fact that he and his forces defended Kruja from the Ottomans until his death. Characteristic path with shops and made out of wood and stone. After that we are going to Qafshtama National Park.
The park is named after the Qafe-Shtamë passage, and has an area of 2000 hectares, with a beautiful mountain scenery consisting mainly of pine forests, some small lakes and major water sources. The national park was established in 1996 by the Albanian government. It is becoming lately a popular attraction for hiking

Kruja Castle
Kruja which is closely related to the 25 years of activity of our national hero, Skanderbeg. During the the fifteenth century he made Kruja a bastion of uncompromising resistance against the Ottoman Empire. The Old Bazaar, the Castle of Kruja (sieged 3 times by the Ottoman Empire and 3 times resisting the siege) and strolling between the old-traditional hoods are the highlights of the town

Qafeshtama Mountain is well- known for curative water values from the surrounding springs and offers a fresh air with minimal carbon dioxide values, which is identified as to have cured people who have suffered or are suffering from chronic asthma, lung disease or from a weak immune system.

5.00A very pleasant & memorable tour. Kruja & the NationalPark were gorgeous. Leo my tour guide was knowledgeable, professional & his English was very good. I definitely recommend this tour when traveling to Tirana, Albania.

5.00I want to thank Leo and Get Lost in Albania for giving me such a wonderful day first in Kruja (castle) and then in Shkodra lake, peacefull place full of beauty with the mountains in the background. I ate the lake fish specialty, don’t miss out such a delicacy ! Leo told me so much about this beautiful country, it’s history and way of living. That will remain a memorable trip.
